  1. Pompey apparently has an ankle injury and haven't played the past few days so not sure if it'll be him. Guessing Carrera or Heisey, or maybe they're close on a new acquisition since they didn't make that corresponding move right away.
  2. Sky High is one of my favourites actually, a really underrated season with a lot of highs and lows. People only ever remember the comeback to win the division after a slow April/May and that epic Fenway comeback but the season was so much more than that. Moseby's clutch hit in September, Mookie Wilson acquisition and the fan love affair, Stieb near no hitter, last game at the Ex/first game in Skydome, etc. It's a shame I didn't experience it much first hand back then since I was way too young at the time. The 1991 4 Million Memories is also another one of my favs, Carter/Alomar/White's first year, which is the year that got me seriously into the Blue Jays. I ripped all the tapes onto a DVD (since it's from a VHS the quality is horrendous, but at least it'll last longer on a DVD), but haven't put them on Youtube or anything due to copyright concerns... It's been out of production for over 20 years though, does that free it from copyright issues possibly? It's not as if the Jays are re-issuing those either (and I have no idea why, they'd sell well I'd think). I do know the 1993 Back 2 Back season review is on Youtube somewhere though.
  3. Hey all, I'm sure some of you old die-hard Jays fans have a few of these in collection. Been a Jays fan since the late nineties, though more seriously starting in 1991 or so. I definitely feel fortunate to have experienced those glory days, although I was only a 9-year old kid back then. Anyways, thus far in my collection I have (I've converted all of these onto DVD, although the quality is crap): 1989 Season: Sky High 1990 Season: Tradition of Excellece 1991 Season: 4 Million Memories 1992 Season: Oh! Canada 1993 Season: Back-2-Back Are there any that I am missing previous to 89 season at all? (I couldn't imagine there were any after '93...) Loved these season review tapes, they should reissue these as DVDs like the World Series Videos IMO... Hoping that if the 2015 Jays make the playoffs they can make a DVD similar to it.
  4. Part of me wishes Dickey would start tm just for the sole purpose of screwing up their swings again on their way out of town, going into their homestand... but that idea has been dismissed already by Gibby so only thing we can do is hope that Hutch and the bats can pull this one off tm...
  5. May the magic of the White Panel cap (I really hope they make this a permanent alternate cap) and the 85 Jays help Hutch and rest of the crew tm! Win tm and it's 4-2 over the past two series against the Yanks, which I'll gladly take any day. And with Hutch going tm hopefully he can get the same kind of run support he's been getting all year as well, the offence is due for a big game!
  6. With struggles of both Revere and Tulo hitting wise (along with the team not being able to score in enough innings for some reason and only scoring in bunches in one inning lately), and with our overall momentum as a team finally coming to a still now, I'm wondering if this might perhaps be a good time to experiment with a different lineup, and perhaps try both of them at the same time in spots they'd be more familiar with, trying Revere as leadoff (he did have two hits leading off on Thursday although Tulo wasn't playing... and he can probably utilize his speed a bit more as a #1 hitter if he gets on) and Tulo somewhere in the 3~5 spot instead... and see if this helps to gets them into their comfort zone a bit more. Doing this would also address that 5/6 spot in the order where Martin/Smoak has been struggling to hit lately (aside from few timely Smoak homers) since it would bump one of the big hitters down...
