There was a time where Syndergaard, Sanchez, and Nicolino were considered the "big three" prospect pitchers in baseball. Our franchise does not have the greatest track record with developing players. But he's 23 years old and most pitchers don't really come into their own until, I forget the exact age, 26 or 27, something like that...I hardly think Sanchez can be written off. He's worked his ass off all off season, his upside is huge, young pitchers tend to try to throw too hard at the expense of control...something could click and he'd be a great pitcher for years to come. You have to give that spot to him to lose, give him 5-10 starts and if it's not working, Chavez and Floyd are waiting in the wings. It's not like we don't have the offence to pick him up.
