  1. If either of them acted unprofessional about it, there would be all kinds of magical "leaks" about how Bautista is a locker room cancer. I can't picture Edwin being a problem at all, he's too low key. But it would have too much potential to hurt Bautista's FA value. Plus, if there was that much negativity in the clubhouse, they would likely waive their 10/5 rights. Bautista does a good job of posturing for the media, but ultimately Rogers is still his daddy and they hold the power here, not him.
  2. Red Sox have a lot of question marks in their lineup though. Better team than last year but mainly due to their improved bullpen and Price. Sandoval showed up to camp looking like a black Staypuff Marshmallow though so, there's that.
  3. Faith = belief with no supporting evidence.
  4. I thought that was savage. Stoeten described t as patting an old man on the head and being polite while tearing him apart at the same time.
  5. Gossage continues to embarrass himself on the radio circuit today. Unbelievable.
  6. Sid did a good job arguing with Gossage. By the end of the interview Tim and Sid were exchanging looks like they were talking to drunk Uncle.
  7. Wilner: "Gossage is an old man yelling at clouds" Think he reads this forum much?
  8. Chavez is reeeeeally hittable today.

  10. You'll forever be the right handed bullpen specialist of life.
  11. So anyone who disagrees with you. lol
  12. The guy was rushed through the minor league system and has been forced to make mistakes that otherwise would've been made in AA and AAA, in MLB. Not his fault.
  13. He's 23. If he improves his control, his numbers will follow.
  14. There was a time where Syndergaard, Sanchez, and Nicolino were considered the "big three" prospect pitchers in baseball. Our franchise does not have the greatest track record with developing players. But he's 23 years old and most pitchers don't really come into their own until, I forget the exact age, 26 or 27, something like that...I hardly think Sanchez can be written off. He's worked his ass off all off season, his upside is huge, young pitchers tend to try to throw too hard at the expense of control...something could click and he'd be a great pitcher for years to come. You have to give that spot to him to lose, give him 5-10 starts and if it's not working, Chavez and Floyd are waiting in the wings. It's not like we don't have the offence to pick him up.
  15. Yes, one off year when he was thrown into the bullpen after an injury derailed a fairly solid start in the rotation in his age 22 season. Let's give up on Sanchez, he's obviously a bust. That spot should be his to lose.
  16. If he wants to negotiate through the media, he should have expected that. He's not getting a 6 year deal from ANYONE. Bon voyage.
  17. Would rather sign Edwin than Bautista at this point. Bautista is too much of a sideshow and wants way too much money. Sign Edwin, if Bautista walks then go out and sign a #1 pitcher using the money saved by not signing Bautista and by Dickey likely leaving or retiring or taking way less money...makes us a more well rounded team.
  18. What he said was, during ST games you may see Martin leading off so he gets an extra AB before being pulled from the game, and to not get too excited about it, implying Martin won't be leading off in regular season games.
  19. Buck Martinez spends the entire season sober.
