Great play! Little is NOT the guy to put into a basees loaded situation. His command is 50/50 to begin with but he spikes a curveball or two every single at bat, even if he's intending to do it it's risky with a runner on third. -
I just tuned into the game before he walked the first batter and I was like "hey it looks like it's actually going well"...f*** me it went downhill rapidly.

This seems like the most predictable outcome of the season.

I know he's only pitched a few games but combined with last year it's starting to look like TV dinner is cooked.

This wouldn't hurt nearly as much if the Francis start didn't loom tomorrow.

Sandlin was rehabbing in Florida I believe but he's now in Buffalo. Yimi hopes to resume throwing off a mound soon but no timetable. Varsho it's just hitting in the cage, but I don't think he's running yet. Santander received an injection and is expected to test his shoulder soon. Three out of the four have no timeline right now.

Ew. I'd rather Laurer, Turnbull and Scherzer. If we upgrade, it needs to be big time.

I wouldn't say he's back to what he was, he's not striking out guys the way he used to, I think he's a notch below what he used to be, not really a whole lot different than he was last year, a little better.

I still think it would have been better off in the long-term by blowing it up, but if you had told me that Kirk would return to an all star hitter and Springer would come back from the dead at 35 and our bullpen which most people thought would be mid would have this kind of ceiling and Barger would fall from the sky...sure. I don't know if you were predicting all that but if you did, good on you. Dunk away. If I knew all those Domino's fall, I would say they have a chance to get out of the AL, everyone knew that the American League was more wide open this year than most years, I had mentioned this myself, that I don't remember the last time the American League was this wide open with so many teams expected to compete for a playoff spot. 12 of 15 teams are no more than 4 games out right now. But, again, if you feel the need to dunk, dunk away. Either way we still need an ace.

Oh yeah, if we're talking actual contender they need an ace. I don't know if they're capable of getting one but they absolutely are going to need one.

Seattle and Kansas City have been without their aces, especially Seattle, although I grant you Kansas City really struggles to score. Boston can score a f*** ton of runs but outside of one elite guy, they struggle to pitch. It's too early to count any of them out really, Seattle I do think is the most capable of that bunch. With the reemergence of Kirk and Springer and the emergence of Barger and the bullpen, the Blue Jays suddenly look to be remarkably balanced. If they can remain healthy, they really should be there in the end.

Surely other teams will eventually realize that if you never swing, Little will almost certainly not be able to throw 3 strikes before he throws 4 balls.

I did feel like it may be smoke and mirrors but by the same token I absolutely thought he earned a spot in the rotation because he did. That has nothing to do with Yarbrough. We needed the depth. As an aside, I don't think anybody was surprised that Francis came back down to earth. I think most of us felt he was operating above his skill level.

I didn't have a problem with the Scherzer move. Whether it ends up being a bad move or not we have no way of knowing right now.
