  1. What was everybody so worried about? Turnbull look pretty good.
  2. I think they want to give him two or three looks at AAA.
  3. I did feel like it may be smoke and mirrors but by the same token I absolutely thought he earned a spot in the rotation because he did. That has nothing to do with Yarbrough. We needed the depth. As an aside, I don't think anybody was surprised that Francis came back down to earth. I think most of us felt he was operating above his skill level.
  4. I didn't have a problem with the Scherzer move. Whether it ends up being a bad move or not we have no way of knowing right now.
  5. It's all situational, I think that was a good situation for it.
  6. I have a feeling the Blue Jays really weren't comfortable with what they saw from Turnbull, but their hand was forced and they had to bring him up, so they have Laurer going first in the hopes that he can pitch the bulk of the innings. I think that's why they haven't yanked Francis from the rotation yet which I think they would have done if they felt Turnbull was really ready.
  7. I was completely neutral on the Santander signing, but I'm willing to wait out his struggles, obviously he's not as bad as he has been and he's had some injuries, just hasn't gotten comfortable yet. Hopefully he comes back healthy and maybe with the team and offense playing well, it takes some of the pressure off and he can relax a little. We don't have a lot of thunder lower in the lineup, his bat lengthens our lineup power wise.
  8. Look at the top teams in the American League Yankees, Tigers, Astros. They all have a f***ing stud and really good number two options as well. Even beyond that, Seattle, KC, Minny, Texas. All better at the front of the rotation. Are we really going to compete with those teams with Gausman and f***ing Bassitt/Berrios? As much as I appreciate those guys, let's be real.
  9. That's why I said this team needs a front line starter more than it needs offense.
  10. No folks that's on Hoffman. Stop making excuses for the fact that he's been giving up home runs at an alarming rate.
  11. Green is trash and he has been for a couple of years now. Even worse now.
  12. That is...some kind of lineup. Lefty heavy, Mikolas isn't really much worse against lefties but whatever.
  13. I wouldn't want to bet on this one, coin flip game. Should be a good one.
  14. Yes he does, he has never looked rattled since he's come up. What will that translate into? I don't know it depends what his true talent is but he won't fail out of fear I'll say that for the kid.
  15. I was thinking about that but I don't know, of course we have to split hairs when talking about greatest of all time plays but it is a standard wall and that helps. Pillar might have three or four that are higher degree of difficulty than that just on his own. Jim Edmonds might have a couple. There's a few more I can think of off the top of my head. Still an amazing catch though.
