  1. That is how the Rays normally score on us. HBPs and walks turning into runs
  2. April 15 - Double Points Vladdy - 2 Points Bichette - 2 Points - Grant, JaysBlue Chapman - 2 Points - Omar Varsho - 4 Points - Stangstag Springer - 4 Points - Jonn Kirk - 6 Points - Dylan Kiermaier - 6 Points - WryNGinger Jansen - 8 Points - JaysAllMighty, Bones10, Deadpool, Gen.Disarray Merrifield - 10 Points - Spanky99 Off the bench: 20 Points
  3. Same reaction from Kiermaier after their 1st home game. He needs to stop with the ice baths.
  4. That was some pure s*** from the home plate umpire tonight. Brutal calls way outside the strike zone against both teams. What a f***ing s*** show. Weird how young athletes in their prime can see and react better than older (is there an annual eye test performed each year on MLB umps?) umpires? At least in hockey the ref's and linesmen need to be able to keep up with the pace of play... Where is the proof to the teams and the public that some of these guys can even see or react well enough to call a 100 mph pitch close to the strike zone?
  5. I feel like I am jinxing whoever I vote for at this point...lol
  6. Vladdy - 1 Point Bichette - 1 Point - Candy Maldonado Chapman - 1 Point Varsho - 2 Points - mphenhef Springer - 2 Points Kiermaier - 3 Points Jansen - 3 Points - jaysblue Merrifield - 5 Points - JaysAllMighty, John_Havok, WryNGinger Espinal - 6 Points Off the bench: 10 Points
  7. I think it would be best for you to assume that some people see the world more clearly than you do. And by "some people", I mean everyone not currently hooked hooked up to medically induced coma equipment.
  8. Clearly because the use of buntings would have completely taken away the impact of the off-season dome changes. Instead of talking about the district zones everyone would have been like "omg, those are amazing buntings!" and "wow, I am glad the buntings made their triumphant comeback this year! hurrah for buntings!"... It would have been a PR disaster.
  9. Ban this f***ing tool. Clearly a troll account.
  10. For sure. Given the hype around the game, him stating he wants to steal HR's this year and the fact he was telling the crowd that he was coming to play this year...top 5 for sure. Dude talked the talk then walked the walk 100%
  11. April 11 Vladdy - 1 Point Bichette - 1 Point - Dylan, Chapman - 1 Point Belt - 2 Points Varsho - 2 Points - Deadpool, WryNGinger Springer - 2 Points - JaysBlue, Kirk - 3 Points Kiermaier - 3 Points Biggio - 4 Points - JaysAllMighty Off the bench: 10 Points
  12. Agreed. Man would it ever suck to have to watch him in pinstripes...barf. Can we just get rid of all the "B" pitchers? Berrios, Bassitt, Bass and Trevor Bichards?
  13. I'll go with Varsho again today
  14. Rays up 9 - 0...ugh
  15. How many innings does Berrios pitch today? I am guessing 3.1. Hoping for much more but...
  16. Vladdy - 2 Points - Abomination, Candy Maldonado Bichette - 2 Points Belt - 4 Points -Spanky Varsho - 4 Points - WryNGinger Kirk - 4 Points Springer - 4 Points - Jonn, Dylan Chapman - 4 Points - TCA, Bones10 Merrifield - 10 Points - Stangstag Espinal - 12 Points Off the bench: 20 Points
  17. 18. Yes, most likely. Fascinating business model though...seems like there would be a lot of variables in owning minor league baseball teams. It looks like they are mostly concentrating on established ballparks. I am curious to know what each had in common to make a conglomerate seek to add them to their portfolio. Possibilities of outdoor concerts and festivals? Maybe the land is marked as mix-residential? Curious...
  19. The Canadians were just sold to a US firm that already owns 16 A to AAA teams affiliated to the Yanks, Dodgers, Red Sox, Braves etc. The company was only founded in 2021. They came out of nowhere and are buying a s*** ton of MiLB teams. https://globalnews.ca/news/9602873/vancouver-canadians-sold/ https://diamondbaseballholdings.com/
  20. Quietly playing his bongos with tears rolling down his cheek
  21. Need to get Berrios on this before he is so inside his head he gets ruined. I would strongly consider an 'upper body ailment' if I were the Jay's to get back to the pitching lab for a few rotations to help him clear his head and get confident in his pitches.
  22. Are Rivera and Walker actually good at their jobs? They seem to be respected in baseball circles but what you see in their decisions and the results of the prodigies don't pass the eye test. Rivera seems to flip a coin on sending the runner at third and Walker seems to send pitchers in with only a vague idea of how to attack each teams lineups.
  23. Got some "Big Country" vibes when I first saw him.
  24. Yah, dude has a cannon. I was referring to his routes and reaction time.
  25. Just imagine what pineapple would have done on that play. I am going to love the Jays outfield D this year.
