  1. Pretty sparse crowd here tonight... I am crushed in a private box. LOL
  2. F*cking right Jays! Extend Varsho! Perfect timing, as I'm heading to the game tomorrow on a party bus and watching from one of the suits. Fans should be having fun after watching these past 2 games. We may never lose again!
  3. Interesting - I should have checked that. But he's going on about 750 PA's with a wRC+ of 92. Semien may also be done as an above average offensive player...
  4. is Adolis García washed up?
  5. I saw that last night. Frightening, but as noted, it's hard to understand how or why that happened. When I took the Wrigley Field tour, they said the "bleacher bums" used to run along the top of the wall - racing from each end towards CF with the winner getting a beer. Unfortunately, they used to fall onto the field regularly, which required the game to stop, while an ambulance came onto the field to take them away. That's why they installed the baskets at Wrigley. They also made the top of the wall a "peak" so nobody could run along it anymore.
  6. We're back baby! The Vlad/Kirk/Varsho/Gimenez core will lead us to the promise land!
  7. It's hard to comprehend that none (0) of the Buffalo boys can hit. Roden, Barger, Wagner, Schneider, Loperfido, Clement, Orelvis, Clase, Lukes. Not 1 can even be a reasonable platoon bat in the majors. At best, we might have a couple defensive utility players whom you don't want starting for an extended period. It must be extremely frustrating for them. They dedicate themselves to this sport for the past decade, work their way up to AAA and actually have a lot of success. Then they get to the majors and their hopes and dreams are crushed. They make Ryan Goins look like Barry Bonds offensively. How depressing. At least Little and Fluharty look like they might be solid bullpen arms. Doubt it will last though. Little probably gets TJS next week and Fluharty will probably be walking 7 per 9 in AAA by the end of May.
  8. I certainly jinxed it. Blame me. And blame the c*nts writing articles showing us all the changes he made to his swing/approach and the early exit velo improvements. I ought to have known that nothing good ever happens to the Jays.
  9. Is anyone else having issues with this site? I'll be reading the last response and the page like "resets" and boots me back to the top of the page and then the scroll bar on the right disappears for a second or two with f*cking popups or something. Watching the Jays makes my eyes bleed - can I not at least enjoy complaining about them on my favourite website in peace? @Brock Beauchamp
  10. Moving ahead of the Jays isn't exactly some monumental achievement.
  11. 100% - Roden to AAA immediately please. He needs development.
  12. It's unlikely to matter. Leafs will be playing Thursday and the dome should be empty.
  13. We've reached our weekly quota already though...
  14. Atkins - it's time to do something. Don't just f*cking sit there. - Fire Schneider, fire this new hitting coach - send message to the players that their awful play is costing people (who have little impact on the results) their job. - Make a trade - trade useless Ricky T for Robert Jr - Resign They need to react. Stop sitting on your hands please.
  15. We may just want to fold the org.
  16. They still desperately need to capture lightning in a bottle with 2 of Roden, Barger, Clement, Clase, Loperfido, Wagner, Orelvis, etc. if we're going to turn this offense around. I don't mind the decision to keep Barger up and see if he can get hot. At least we know he brings pop to the lineup.
  17. Yes - have to assume Barger becomes the starting 3rd baseman v. RHP. That still leaves 6 OFer. No more days off for Vlad at 1st. We need 4 starting spots for these 6 OFers.
  18. What's the over/under on runs scored tonight? 0.5?
  19. BTW - is Marcel Ozuno the new Nelson Cruz? This guy has been incredible since (wrongly) working on his grip strength back in 2021...
  20. I'd suggest the Braves have 5 good hitters (Ozuna, Olson, Riley, Albies and Murphy) and you could even argue Albies may be declining. His last 550 PA's have been as concerning at Bo's...They also have their own Kirk in Harris III, who started his career hot with the bat, but has fallen every season and they have a ton of #8-9 hitters (per your definition) in Kelenic, Arcia, Verdugo, Allen, De La Cruz, White, etc. Baldwin is a really nice prospect, but it's hard to be a young catcher at the ML level. Getting Acuna back will be massive, although the last time he came back from a major knee injury - he wasn't very good and it took a whole year to get back. It will be interesting to see what happens the second time around. Maybe he's more prepared for this? Maybe it's that much harder. Who knows. I think the Braves offense will be "good enough" and like last year, it will come down to pitching health. Lopez is already dead and Sale is never a good bet to stay healthy. The young guns may have a lot of pressure on them this year and they need Strider to come back and stay healthy. The typical criticism with AA is he runs a shallow team. We'll see if that approach bites him this year. I hope it doesn't, as I like the Braves and AA.
  21. At least we get to see Springer have a dead cat bounce season. I'll enjoy that. Otherwise - complete dumpster fire. As I said at the start of the year, can we please just fast forward to the trade deadline? And then again to about 2029 when we'll have a chance to make the playoffs again? Thanks.
  22. Dude - our season is over. Enough.
