  1. They absolutely better do this. Although - Price seems like a douche, I can see him putting a kibosh on that idea.
  2. Which he's had for over the past 600 PA's....when is it no longer bad luck?
  3. You guys so smart - thanks for keeping me around here. All interesting stuff. It's also kind of funny to reference Smoak as a switch hitter when we seemingly don't let him bat right handed ever. I appreciate what Colabello's done for the team, but I would have loved to see what Smoak could do given full time at bats vs. both LHP and RHP. Maybe there's no "growth" left and maybe he's destine never to be a full time player anyway, but getting 25 at bats vs. LHP in a season is going to kill any possibility there was.
  4. Do we really think Smoak's defense is stunning? Fangraphs has him as a negative defender every year. I know their defensive thing isn't the best, but I'm not sure 'stunning' an accurate verb...perhaps only when referenced in comparison to E5 and Colabello. Average comes to mind for me...but you guys are smarter than me. Learn me.
  5. Welcome aboard. Solid first post!
  6. don't hold your breath.
  7. Again, nowhere to play in Chicago.
  8. Well I'm eating a lot of crow right now after suggesting AA won't do crazy things to "save his job". Wow. There has to be some thought that if we win the World Series this year - good players will want to sign in TO.
  9. Actually - I'd love an explanation. Will we need to add another reliable arm if MB and Estrada both leave? Sure, but I see no reason why a couple of them won't/can't stick in the rotation next year. I guess you didn't think Stroman was a realistic option for the rotation in 2014 too right?
  10. Tulo plays 1 game for TO and he's already been worth more than Carrera, Colabello, Navarro and Goins put together.
  11. Um....see above where there's an entire discussion on the various options? Mark Reynolds - is that you?
  12. Moss's wRC+ 2012 - 160 2013 - 137 2014 - 121 2015 - 94 The hip issue he had this offseason is likely part of the reason he sucks this year, but he certainly wasn't trending in the right direction either. SLG% went from .596 in 2012 to .438 last year to .407 this year. But of course he'll likely rebound in St. Louis. Who goes to St. Louis and sucks really? nobody.
  13. Did that happen yesterday? That little puke did that on purpose so he could go "viral" because he thinks that's cool. Makes me wanna barf.
  14. Back when he had no shins?
  15. Me too - awesomeness.
  16. What you talking about? JD only rubs me the right way - FAP
  17. I love those early, pointless comments like "the guys seem like a good bunch". WTF is that man? Some guys send you a tweet and add you on facebook and suddenly you appoint them "a good bunch of guys"? I know it's media talk, but it's stupid. Just shut up, get to know them and make your own judgement.
  18. Jays rumoured to be interested in Mike Leake and they say AA is "in" on a number of pitchers at his level (ie, not aces). Leake's a solid target, I'd prefer him over Kennedy, as I think a GB pitcher would do better in TO. However, since it's been rumoured, it's unlikely to ever happen. There's been no rumours of AA trading for King Felix - so that's good news.
  19. Would be better with chili in lieu of onions. Make that call the bullpen and I'd devour it in a single sitting.
  20. Give your best hitters the most at bats. Tulo, Donaldson and Jose are my top 3.
  21. Agreed. The thought of giving up a lot of Kimbrel/Ross also makes my stomach turn.
