    I think you guys underestimate how challenging it is to uproot yourself, your family, sell your house and leave a team and city you've been in/with for 7-8 years. Deal with the fact the franchise that built a team around you no longer wants you and then you have to move to a different country, adjust to a new league and teammates all within ONE week....and are expected to perform as well as you always have. I think some do this better than others - but to simply dismiss this in all situations is a little short-sighted.

    Martin's a career 106 wRC+ hitter. We all knew he wasn't going to provide a lot of offense right? Especially as he ages. We should expect him to be a .230-.240 hitter who walks a lot and hits the odd dinger. Nothing more.

    The problem is you'll also complain if they lose Leon and/or send Biangini back and then get hit with injures and end up using Funsto Carmona and the boys because we don't have any depth...

    Jose would look good playing 1st with Cola/Smoak on another team and a solid player in RF...maybe Pompey. Then I'd love to see a Brock Holt type player with versatility on the bench. There sure is a massive need for those type of players these days.

    I never knew Barker played for the baycats. I googled "Kevin barker Barrie baycats" and the first search is what must have been the 'old' board and a post from The Hurl claiming a baycats player heard from Barker that Burke got fired by he's the father of Hazel Mae's kid...said this news was going public soon. 1. Did this come out public? 2. I know sex is sex, but Hazel Mae is gross. Why do people f*** her? 3. Who'd ya know on the baycats? I play against a few old baycat rejects.

    oh Christ really? my bad. I don't really remember that back in the day and I always hear people say how good they were. I can't imagine a time where Buck spewing his ******** was ever considered "good".

    Sorry. Listening to Buck and Tabby puts me in a bad mood. Because they are stupid. I thought the old setup was Buck called he game and Shulman did the color commentary. This prevented Buck from spreading his nonsense opinions. Why the F wouldn't they use that setup?

    Someone asked me if Buck was calling the game last night with Shulman doing color commentary. I watched the game last night and again this morning (with my 5 yr old who had to go to bed last night and asked to watch it this morning...so cute and awesome) and for the love of god I'm still not sure who was doing what....there was so much gibberish and ******** being said that I eventually muted it.

    Last night I learned the new age shifts are eliminating the athletism of defenders. I learned that nobody had to tell Cal Ripken where to stand because he's psychic and knew where the ball was going. Shulman an must have been thinking "f*** me, 31 more games with these morons". We really need a thread to record all the stupid these *******s say.
