    I actually looked up C.Gomez's stats after this reference. I think - wow, he must be carrying over the success he had when he went to Texas last year. Nope. wRC+ of like 102. How on earth is their lineup a "mess" without him?

    So many similarities to Jarrod Dyson. If he can post a wRC+ > 85 at the ML level, he'd be a very valuable piece.

    Did King address why he quit doing minor league recaps? They were the best threads on the board. I had no idea Jansen was ripping up AA and that's unacceptable. Like f*** I'm actually going to go look through 4 or 5 box scores on my own!

    I echo this. I enjoy his play by play simply because he sticks to facts instead of the massive and typically poor assumptions that buck and tabby spew out daily. I f***ING dispise when guys simply make s*** up. The post game show is unbearable regardless of what angle Wilmer takes. It's a cesspool of stupid and should always be avoided.

    Really too bad, as he already lost development time last year to the concussion. Given Alford's past, he needs this development time to untap his potential.

    Well that's great. Am I (and my memory) completely off here? Haven't hamate bone injuries historically been really challenging for hitters in the past (maybe it depends on the severity and such).

    I don't get people s***ing on Gibby. Alford is in his first ML game and there's a very strong likilhood he's nowhere near ready for the primetime and will be back in AA when pillar is back. IMO he played the situation right and it worked.

    CorDick - right. Is baseball good because Bichette, in addition to being a rising star prospect is also effective using twitter? or because it's like a big family and they are all so happy when others succeed?

    I get the impression that a lot of people take the hard stance that bunting is always a bad idea because STATS. I really hate this notion. There are a pile of variables that come into play (batters matchup v. the pitcher, current hot/cold streaks, # of outs, inning, score, upcoming batters - and their matchup v. the pitcher)....none of which are factored into the stats people base these hard opinions on. To pre-set your game plan around generic stats and to be unwilling to have in game flexibility is incredibly shortsighted. Travis isn't Barry Bonds. He's a career 107 wRC+ hitter who's been utterly awful at the plate this year (quote the # of doubles he has all you want - he's still been runny dog s***). He's been hitting better lately, but at this point, he isn't a significantly superior hitter to Zeke or Barney. If he actually does his job there, there's a good chance the game gets tied up or that the Jays take the lead.

    I'm not going to read the s*** show about the bunt - but god knows if he hits into a double play there, there's as many people upset that they didn't bunt. Being a manager sucks (except the money part)

    Isn't Olivares more interesting than Palacios? Woodman has a K% of 40% in A ball. That isn't fun at all.
