  1. I just wanted to say thanks to everyone on this board. It's been fun chatting through what's been one of the best MLB playoff I've ever seen. Some are suggesting this board is slipping (and maybe it is), but this remains my only true outlet for in depth baseball discussion. I mean I'll talk to guys at work about the WS today and I had friends texting me during the playoffs - but it's pretty basic stuff. This is where I come for true debates. My 7 year old son love the Astros (and the Jays) and the look on his face this morning was priceless. There will be a lot of Houston Astros 2017 WS swag in our household this Christmas. Thanks again.
  2. Looks like Morton's going back out there. Dallas to finish it off?
  3. Kenley coming in! How much does he have left? I love these story lines.
  4. I've love to see big JV close it out tonight. Another notch to help inch him closer to the HOF.
  5. Has anyone heard anything about the possibility of Verlander pitching tonight? With Peacock out and it being the 5th inning - how on earth do the Astros get through this game? Morton and Devenski would seem to be the only other options?
  6. Liriano coming in....wow'sers. Talk about an uncomfortable feeling. I thought they would have stuck with Peacock longer. He seems to be the only pitcher Hinch trusts out of the pen.
  7. Part of me expects Verlander to pitch tonight for an inning (perhaps a save?) - simply because he isn't human.
  8. Well this kinda makes sense. Possibly the best World Series in my lifetime (ever) needs to go 7. Get some rest boys.
  9. We dressed our youngest (who will be 2 on December 30th) up as Yogi Bear tonight. Half the people thought he was a girl, a couple thought he was Scooby Doo. Nobody knew he was Yogi. It was a s***** costume. Our 5 year old went as a bee and our 7 year old put on all his hockey gear, a Penguins uniform + our road hockey goalie equipment. We had fun.
  10. A's are looking to move Ryon Healy if anyone wants a DH who can't field, can't hit, can't run and has no patience.
  11. I gotta go to bed...f*** sakes. C'mon Harris.
  12. To be honest - Correa deserves the same chirp (only his managed to go another 5 feet). I was going to comment how his reaction at 1st was awesome...but my god if that hits the wall and you're not running you look like a putz.
  13. why the F was there an Astros's fan leaning out trying to catch that Pederson hit? so stupid. Does Houston have anyone to finish this thing off? Peacock's gotta be done.
  14. um......THIS^ I feel awful for Morrow. f*** Roberts
  15. Oh yeah it is......although Rajai off Chapman was out of this world.
  16. Roberts...f*** man, you gotta get him out of there. And......that HR hasn't landed yet.
  17. This is so me. Need sleep, but can't turn it off.
  18. Buck Martinez loves this strike zone because it's consistent. He doesn't care he's consistently wrong. Anyone have a link to the umpire stat page (that shows what % they get wrong)? Where does this clown land on it and why is he behind the plate in the WS?
