    Last year his mother spent the entire summer in the hospital with Stage 4 melanoma. Reports from February 2018 suggested she was doing well and starting to recover; however, Tellez left spring training on March 1st to be with her again, as she was in poor health. I just searched, but that's the last real update I could find. He needs to suck that up because everyone deals with s*** equivalent to that? C'mon man.

    Blue Jays placed RHP John Axford on the bereavement list. Axford will be away from the team for the next 3-7 games. Tim Mayza has replaced him in the bullpen. Not sure what happened (to Axford's family). I'd love to see Mayza get into a groove in the majors though....and never go back to AAA.

    Jackson was expected to move quickly when we took him in the 3rd round. Great arm, bad control. I'd kind of forgotten about him to be honest.

    1. Noda's old (for the level) and an advanced hitter. 2. Pitchers in A ball are awful at throwing strikes consistently. 3. Don't use the R word. It's not 2006.

    how long does it take for K% to stabilize? 23.7 so far this year is certainly something we could stomach long term (and perhaps it a lot more reflective of the K% he posted in the last 819 PA's he had in AA/AAA while in the Houston organization).
