  1. Help the dumb guy out - they are now using MLB balls in AAA and it's created more offense. What the f*** were they using instead? Are they using a lower CC ball in the lower minors?
  2. Fair points by you and Spank. Franco just has a lot better peripheral stats (K/BB ratio, ISO, lower BABIP). I mean I'm not surprised - I LOVE Groshans, but Franco is at another level altogether.
  3. Wander also doesn't have an obscene BABIP propping up his numbers...
  4. To be fair - the Rays haven't fixed Zunino's bat yet....although his K% has dropped quite a bit so far.
  5. I guess Montoyo thinks that even after sitting all those games - Galvis' bat is still 'hot'. Vlady 2nd, Galvis 8th and you've got this figured out Charlie.
  6. Who the f*** follows Arash? You looking for cooking tips?
  7. My mom wouldn't even vote me Poster of the Year. I'm s***. I'm just happy you guys let me lurk here.
  8. Who the f*** eats unsalted sunflower seeds?
  9. In 26 1/3 innings, MacKenzie Gore has an ERA of 1.37, and he's struck out 38 hitters with just 4 walks.
  10. Warmoth has a pulse. 6 game hit streak. 109 wRC+ on the season now.
  11. It would be pretty awesome this continued for Forrest. We sure could use some viable option in the OF. A burner in CF with OBP chops and a reasonable K%? Sign me up.
  12. Our AAA pitchers have been awful. 4 pitchers have combined for over 41 innings with an ERA over 11! (SRF and Danny Barnes are 2 of the 4) I've never really heard of Dusty Isaacs, but he's been great this year (13 2/3 innings, 5 hits allowed, 2 BB, 19 K). Looks like he's always missed bats, but struggled with control. Hopefully he's found something.
  13. I guess to be fair, you'd also have to factor in the # of times that you end up bunting for a base hit or reach on an error.
  14. Ah - that was one I was looking at. I think I was too dumb to understand that chart though (just figured out what 010 0 means!)
  15. To be fair, that table also needs to be updated to reflect the increased K% and decreasing BABIP around the league. I have to assume teams have the current info.
  16. Rays call up Nate Lowe. Rays are good.
  17. numbers on the front of pants is slo-pitch level s***.
  18. Interesting. The possibility of a failed sac bunt certainly has to be taken into account when considering the run expediencies. Of course that success rate varies by individual. Where did you find your data on % of successful sac bunts? I was looking a couple of weeks ago and couldn't find anything.
  19. Interesting. Can you compare that to his 2016 results now?
  20. Wrong Boxy. If everyone hit like Sogard - we'd be unstoppable.
  21. The uniforms are horrible. Numbers on the front of their pants? Lopez reminds me of Edwin Jackson a bit.
  22. Hold on. "stomp their feet" turned into "stop their fists"
  23. Does anyone know if those run expectancy charts take into account the % of failed bunt attempts? ie, does the % chance of scoring 1 run being about 6% higher with the man on third factor in that sac bunts fail 20% to 30% of the time?
  24. This was a pre-game interview on the radio broadcast. And I have no idea where to find it.
  25. Buck/Dan said Montoyo said on Friday that the put Hanson in because he had a feeling the A's would score in the 10th and wanted to sell out and score. They say he probably thought the same thing today with Pannone in facing all those right handed hitters. I don't know if Charlie is religious, but I suspect he is. I'm not a huge fan of people who summon their spirit guides (Coco reference) to aid their decisions - but sometimes it works (giving them fuel to do it again).
