  1. He was at about 0.7 WAR like 2 weeks ago.
  2. That reminds me - sliced bread is f***ing awesome. No crumbs.
  3. Man - that's a s*** ton of assumptions.
  4. Point being? Speaking of sucking - Pillar's down to 0.1 WAR on the season
  5. What's so hard with both you guys acknowledging you know next to nothing about this situation, avoiding a strong opinion and keeping an open mind? This s*** is why our voting system doesn't work.
  6. If you're expecting this all to get leaked, then maybe giv'er 48 hours?
  7. Sorry - no I wouldn't be. I understand that teams value players differently and that teams are on different win curves, which effects their valuations.
  8. how do you know they didn't? were you expecting a press conference on the matter?
  9. Dude - there are all kinds of assumptions there. Now to be fair, I probably should have said "you know who else may not have been in our 2021 rotation? Marcus Stroman" You don't know if the FO offered Stroman an extension, if they did, you don't know the years or value. You don't know if Stroman's camp approached our FO with an offer or the years or value of it. We don't even know if Stroman's 'talk' that he loves the Blue Jays is true (I mean it's never wise for a player to suggest he hates the city/team he's playing for). For all we know, he 'talks up' Toronto as leverage for getting more money or term. I mean you can make all the ignorant assumptions you want - but it's a bit irresponsible. The reality is - we now have a ton of quality arms in our system. I mean again, you make some ignorant assumptions about how good they will be in 2021-2022 - but why do that? why be that guy?
  10. and no doubt you guys will rip the s*** out of Atkins based on your evaluations of a couple of C+ 40 FV prospects that you know next to nothing about.
  11. yeah that would be hilarious.
  12. OK - whatever bud. you know who else wouldn't have been in our 2021 rotation? Marcus Stroman - after signing a FA deal elsewhere.
  13. 4 and 6 now!
  14. Pearson, Manoah, Pardinho, Kloffenstein, Woods-Richardson, Kay, SRF, Murphy, Murray, Kendell Williams, Winckowski, Zeuch + Thornton, Waguespack, Borucki and the outside chance that Sanchez returns to form (July was great for him). I'm probably missing a couple guys, but I think it's safe to say our farm system is no longer void of pitching...
  15. That's old school mentality man - straight from folks who believe in unwritten rules. You take the best package you can get - regardless of division.
  16. Not that I really question Hurl, but is this true? That's a pretty easy way to sell this trade to the fans...
  17. I think he's talking Sonny Gray to the Reds....more control than Stroman, similar track record (maybe a little less)
  18. Today I learned Strasburg is 31 years old. I feel old now. Thanks Stephen.
  19. Quantrill is Canadian - therefore he's the 'logical' target for the Jays. f*** off Kenny...what a pathetic attempt.
  20. Are these *******s trying to suggest Curt Flood belongs in the HOF? f*** off
  21. Haha. I'm on my phone and just posted about this broadcast team without seeing you guys are already ripping them. Glad to see we're all on the same page.
  22. Whoever the announcer is for the Houston/St. Louis game is making an ass out of himself talking about the old days. Apparently nobody in the game 'thinks' the game anymore and he goes on about the starters pitching more innings. Hit mute
  23. This morning on Sportsnet they actually highlighted that the Cubs used their last mound visit in the 8th with the bases loaded. That reminded me that rule even existed. It reminds me of the take out slide rule. Buck and Tabby (and just about every other broadcast team in baseball) wined and complained about this change and how it was going to effect the game....and about a month later, no one ever spoke of it again. It turns out catchers don't need to speak with pitchers 12 times a game. I haven't heard anyone complain they had miscommunication in a big moment because their catcher couldn't come talk to them. The issues around the takeout slide are basically gone (save a few incidents). IMO - it's a better game now. Kudos to MLB.
  24. If Stro could STFU and stop hurting out leverage - that would be appreciated.
