Completely agree with this. I would suggest that nobody within the public should form ANY opinion about this case as you know sweet f*** all about it. You have like 10-20% of the evidence and information. This is what is wrong with the world IMO - too many people live atop Mount Stupid (dunning kruger) and spew their ******** around the internet. BTW, I do realize and accept that's the premise of this board with a bunch of nobodies debating and opining about what the Jays should do with their team. It is rather ironic - yet I feel it's rather harmless when talking about a sports team, but incredibly damaging to our population when used for politics, court cases, etc.

Honestly, I think Bichette's chase rate is what's holding him back from being a true superstar with a wRC+ >135 or 140. I mean his results are still great, but I think it holds him back a bit for the very reasons that John_Havok notes. I am hoping that with maturity, Bo learns to lay off those bad pitches and focuses on the ones he can truly punish.

I think most see it as rich people arguing with rich people. Most just look at the 'top' players making millions of dollars a year to live out their childhood dream and can't comprehend how they could complain and strike in that situation. To be honest - that's true. Even the minimum contract players make more in a year than most do in 10-15 years at their careers, so it's hard for the general public to relate and sympathize with them. Of course the reality is the Owners typically all make hand over fist also - but their numbers aren't truly public (and if they are, it's all skewed and doesn't really reflect the profit they made) and the general public just doesn't relate to them like they do the players. I don't think that makes people stupid - perhaps just a little short sighted. The exploitation of minor league players is REALLY something the general public could relate to and support. That's something that really pisses me off and I wish there was a way to fix that. And of course, as a fan, I'd love to see a world where neither the owners or the players become become quite as rich so they could lower the price to attend games so the average joe and his family could attend more often.

That's a pretty compelling argument. One thing I really appreciate about Brady is his ability to absolutely dominant without elite athleticism. Nobody in history has gotten so much out of a rather average body. His preparation and mental game is next level.

I would assume the "we're willing to lose games" talk is simply a leverage tactic / negotiation 101 ********. I can't imagine it really means much. As a flipside - if they said "we aren't willing to lose games" then that give the leverage to the PA.

I was telling someone the other day that I don't really appreciate greatness. I'm already sick of hearing about and watching Mahomes and have been long sick of Brady. I stopped watching pre-game shows and analysis for all sports years ago, but I still prefer some fresh new stories each year. I love a good underdog story and the Bengals are a fun new upcoming team so I'd rather them get there than KC. It was the same when Tiger Woods was in his prime and during the baseball playoffs. I don't really want to see the Dodgers and Yankees/Red Sox in the World Series anytime soon. I'd be curious if others feel this way. Maybe I'm weird. It will be interesting if the Jays become an annual contender - we'll see if that changes my views.

This. Also, HGH was only banned in 2005 and really I'm not sure any of us know if they were taking HGH or roids or both. And yes, I probably ought to have been more careful and detailed in the words I used my post - but I still find it very ironic. Big Papi failed a PED test and writers still voted for him and not Bonds/Clemens? What on earth is their justification? They either claim Bonds/Clemens hurt the sport more than all other PED users (which was probably 75% of the players) or they felt Bonds and Clemens were *******s, but Papi is a nice guy - and I think that's complete ********.
