    I just read he's back in the lineup tonight. He must like attention.

    NFL announced today that: - if game cannot be rescheduled during the season due to COVID outbreak among unvaccinated players, team with outbreak will forfeit game; and - if game is cancelled due to COVID outbreak, neither team will be paid for that game. Seems like they don't give f*** about penalizing or outing unvaccinated players, so I doubt the Jays should care about dumping a below average reliver for his vaccination decisions. Apparently Deandre Hopkins may retire because vaccines are bad mmmkay?

    Has there ever been any real discussion on adopting the NBA system where HS players must attend College for at least a year or two before making themselves eligible for the draft and then eliminating the bonus pool idea so teams just draft based on talent and not money? Do we think that would be an improvement? Or do we like the current system?

    I think I read that Giannis doesn't spend time with his teammates and is a massive loner. You could see that after the buzzer went. He say by himself for a bit and cried and shared very little emotion with his teammates. There's absolutely nothing wrong with that, but it's just really odd to see after a team went to war together and achieved the ultimate goal. Much respect for the man - he was a dominant beast in the playoffs.

    I'm sure someone's done this, but where do we sit with all these signings? are we under/over the slot amount? I mean it certainly looks like we're signing everyone except Holman at this point doesn't it?

    Ah - I didn't realize it was a max of $125,000 and not a 'slot value'. I guess I'm just a little surprised there aren't players available in Round 11-20 that are 'worth' $125K. Seems odd our 13th round pick is only 'worth' $50K, but our 15th round pick was 'worth' the full $125K. I guess we can really like Matt Svanson and like him better than Garrett Spain, but Spain has more leverage (I assume this is a SR. v. JR. situation) so he gets more cash.

    So am I correct that the $75K we saved on Matt Svanson cannot be used to sign anyone else? The Jays just pocket it and us it to upgrade the batting cages at Rogers Centre? I guess it's just a business and Matt Svanson has no leverage?

    Thanks man. I guess signing a SR who may actually be a 'player' for $5K is better than signing me for $1.
