I'm not suggesting he's going to fetch multiple 1st round picks, but I could certainly see teams willing to move a late 1st and a 4th for him. I guess the word "haul" is subjective. I love drafts and this coming NFL draft is going to be a fascinating one. Purdy just keeps winning - which is going to put a lot of pressure on the 49ers and the offseason decisions they make.

I think there's a pretty high chance that Jackson Holliday is a superstar. There's probably a very good chance that Aldey, Gunner, Jackson and Grayson are all star players (3.5+ WAR guys), plus they have Mullins. That puts them in a similar category to the Jays core with Vlad, Bo, Kirk and Manoah, plus we have Varsho. The O's have a lot more holes to fill around those guys IMO - but that's still a really fun exciting core to have.

It's a fair point. I don't see why society would be so against selling cannabis drinks or gummies at sporting events just like they do alcohol - but it feels like we're years/decades away from that, which is sad.

I don't think anyone caters to tobacco smokers these days. We aren't to the point of catering to cannabis smokers unfortunately - so gummies at the games will have to do.

Agree with all of this. As a true baseball fan, I find it difficult to wrap my head around the need for separate bars with lounge areas, fire places, bean bag toss, checkers tables?, etc. but there are so many f***ing casuals that I suspect this will all appeal to them and draw more people to the stadium. And of course, if it draws them away from bothering me in my seats (always getting up mid inning for more beer, wash rooms, or to just cruise around b/c they don't give a f*** what's happening in the game) then I'm all for it. Even just not being able to hear their f***ing conversations would be amazing. Finding a place where kids can roam around a bit and have fun is a great idea (hard for young ones to sit for 9 innings). I know Cinny has a big area like this - they even have a little infield set up where kids line up to play whiffle ball games. I really hope they can incorporate some new interesting food and beer options as well. Those are a couple of things I would enjoy throughout the game - along with some places to stand where you can get a different perspective of the game for a few innings. Cleveland does this well right down the RF line. Huge craft beer selection and a f***ton of designated standing areas.

So they need a repeat of 2013 is what you're saying? I mean they'd also probably need Duvall to bounce back to a 2.5-3 WAR player and Andrus to repeat his 3.5 WAR season too. Seems unlikely of course, but this is pretty natural for fans. I'm sure we've all been guilty of being too optimistic over the years.

Mill Street would have been a really nice partnership to be honest. I'm not sure many consider Corona to be a quality beer, but it's decent enough. It's definitely a summer beer that most people can enjoy on a hot day.

Is this true? The traditional shift was to put someone in short RF (let's say it's the 2nd baseman), with the SS playing where the 2nd baseman typically would be (albeit more up the middle) and the 1st baseman in his normal spot. 3rd base would shift over and play near where the SS typically was. This created a cavity where you could pull a bunt past the pitcher, too far away from 1st base and it would be in no-mans land. Now, the SS will essentially play right behind 2nd base, the 2nd baseman will have to be shallower - on the edge of the dirt. This will tighten up that hole I think and make that type of bunt harder to execute. Am I missing something?
