    Adley and Gunnar obviously look great, but I'm not sold on Urias, Mateo or Mountcastle being above average starters for the next 2-3 years.

    I get that - but it's not like there's a #4 starter throwing 89 on the mound. The game was packed full of fundamentals when pitchers like this toed the rubber day in and day out, facing the lineup 3-4 times a game. It's A LOT more difficult now to execute those fundamentals.

    I was going to say that - probably f***ing around talking to him and not paying attention. Vlad reminds me of Vince Carter. I understand the talent, but the player himself drives me insane as a fan.

    I may have missed it, but I saw an article that said NY was considering DFA'ing A.Chapman. Seemed like click bait to me, but still interesting. He's been awful this year, but still...

    Agreed. I think in an ideal world, we'd finish 3rd in the WC Standings so we can go through Cleveland and NYY before having to face Houston. Doesn't look like that's going to happen though, so we're probably going to need some luck if we get through the WC round.

    I believe the Yankees game is on Apple TV today. Can you imagine the uproar if Judge hits 61 (and 62?) during the game today when it's only available to Apple TV customers? Fans can't watch it and their own hometown YES announcers can't call the game? The bitching and moaning would be incredible and I would love ever second of it.

    This has disaster written all over it. Not that I agree with it, but if this doesn't work out for Schneider, he may not shed the "interim" manager title and we may be looking for someone new to lead the 2023 Blue Jays.

    Jesus Christ - I just was having a look and my god has Javy Baez ever been terrible this year. Detriot must be s***ing themselves after giving him that deal. Then I noticed that despite a 90 wRC+, that Baez is still their top player by WAR...followed by Jonathan Scoop who has a 54 wRC+???? How the f*** does Scoop get 472 PA's when he makes Ryan Goins look like Frank Thomas? And then I noticed that Scoop has gone from -5.2 defensive value in 2021 to the best fielder in baseball with a +21.6 defensive value which seem suspicious as f***. And then I noticed how f***ing awful all the prospects have been in Detroit. Greene, Daz Camerson, Torkelson - all generally terrible. Mize and Skubal both have major injuries. What a hell hole it must be for Detroit fans these days. Eduardo Rodriguez couldn't handle how s***** it was - he just up and left.
