I must say I don't love how the playoffs become a completely different game. I myself prefer the wide open, skill based game that the NHL has developed into. I don't love that they put the whistles away in the playoffs and allow all kinds of penalties to slide. I don't think any other sport seems such a drastic change in their game come payoff time.

I mean if he's DH'ing, sure, but if he's playing 1st, he'd have to make some throws. I wonder how much risk is involved in all of this.

You can't evaluate this trade without taking into account of often Frasso's been hurt to date. The probability that he blows out his arm and becomes a pumpkin is high. Would I have preferred to give up some noodle armed pitcher instead? Sure, but we had a pretty major need for starting pitching depth. It would have been nice if we could have simply developed our own Mitch White - but we hadn't at that time.

I've always thought it was the walks with him. 1 in 4 innings is a good start. If he finds his command and keeps the BB/9 down around or below 3 than he'll take the next step.

Manoah's slider is what I would consider a sweeper also, which is hopefully a glimmer of hope. There's talk of how many sweepers Bo has faced so far this year (up big time from last year) near the end of the article.

To be fair - Pop had been lights out until last night. He was throwing the ball much better than Swanson, Bass, etc. I like what I see from Pop. I think he's a legit guy.

Apparently the Phillies sold 58,000 hot dogs on $1 hot dog night at the stadium last week. Game was sold out and a food fight broke out in the late innings with people chucking $1 hot dogs all over. That's a f***ton of glizzy's.

I thought about this also. Seems logical if another major sports team is coming to Canada that it would be in Vancouver, but they failed with the Grizz (I don't really remember why) and never seem to be rumoured when there are talks of baseball expansion. You would think that Vancouver would be able to support an NHL, NBA and MLB team though. That said - I was today years old when I learned that Montreal is the 2nd largest city in Canada.

I don't think we'll ever see another team in Montreal. I think they'd go to Mexico City before moving back to Montreal.

Diamondbacks just designated MadBum for assignment. Sick of his s***** play and constant drama I assume. What a horrible signing this became for the Diamondbacks. 5 years $85M (in 2020) and he gave them 2 WAR before being released.
