  1. I wonder if Navarro was moved if anyone would even claim him for his remaining couple of million
  2. Yeah so Navarro will catch.
  3. Prediction. Navarro will either DH or catch tomorrow. Either Smoak will be on the bench or Martin.
  4. Stress is really getting to the message board.
  5. Just once I'd like to see Gibby optimize the lineup. Sigh
  6. Since Navarro came back this is a below 500 team.
  7. I am not the dogg though,
  8. Gibbons has pinched hit Navarro in similar situations so please give it a rest. Thanks
  9. Martin is a really good hitter. No way you don't atleast pinch him. Sigh.
  10. I hope that's the only thing of Hamilton he mimics
  11. 4th best? So he is better than Martin? Or Reyes? Or Both? Lmao. Wake up.
  12. No Martin or Smoak in the ninth inning. With the game on the line don't you at least pinch hit for Valencia or Pillar. Heck I would have pinched hit for all three I just don't understand. Sigh.
  13. 4 for his last 15 with 1 xbh. Red hot Colabello
  14. Ever since you made that comment yesterday from the Sox's board I've been resigned to the fact that it's going to happen
  15. Didn't even know this Bautista is 0 for his last 21 Barker suggests he move in the batters box
  16. Did you.miss the part about eating EE salary I wouldnt say Jays are in contention for one thing they are barely over .500
  17. Colabello OPS in june : .767 and dropping fast.
  18. on a 1000 game scale .518 vs. 490 is worth 40 to 45 wins. Thats almost 8 wins a year So do you think 8 games better means anything?
  19. A manager's job is to generate the best results based on the assets provided to him. Just like any management whether its a business or a sports team, their job is the most important because they have to use the assets to generate the greatest return. The current bluejays core is a top 5 talented team in all of baseball, as shown by their best run differential. If that isn't translating to more wins, then its the guys putting those assets to use.
  20. How about GIbbons is terrible at his job, because he has managed a thousand games and has a record below .500
  21. You want to talk about a good trade. Trade Encarnacion to the Rays for one of their young starters. There is a trade. That is a team with Looney, and Elmore starting at 1st. What I would be doing is eating EE's salary offering him to the Rays in return for Karns. There is more than 1 playoff spot for the taking here.
  22. I hope so, but to be honest I am not confident that is going to happen. However AA said something intelligent while on baseball central today. He admitted that he had earlier in his career made errors in judgement always looking for underpriced talent (Rasmus for example). He has learned that it is better to get a good player at a fair price, rather than get the potentiol of a wonderful player at a good price. His focus has changed to understanding more than just the talent in a player. I think this is the first time I have heard some form of higher level conceptualization from him.
