  1. Why don't you get excited about the fact that would have an elite closer who AROD said could be the next Mariano Rivera He wants to close. The teams wants him to close Let him be. I don't know if he will be a good starter but I know if we are contending next year I don't want questions about the closer spot. Before Osuna we had so many fricking issues. Cecil was horrible in that spot Sometimes I think people won't rest until they completely ruin a good thing. I am surprised there aren't appologizers on here wanting to trade Donaldson at his "peak value". People on here think they are such experts but I remember well these were the same people who wanted to trade Joey Bats after after his " fluke" 2010. This is a good baseball team trying to win the world series in 2016. It doesn't need maybes. It needs players in places where they have succeeded before. Having Osuna as the closer means we don't have to worry about the ninth inning. Move on. Find another starter.
  2. Lol Hutch is not going to be in AAA He has been in the majors 3 years now. He isn't going to get better. He is what he is now which maybe a decent but unlucky starter Osuna is not going to go to AAA. They have him picked as an elite closer and that's what he will be now
  3. Perhaps a question we should be asking is if there was another deal for us to get Chavez without losing Hendrik's
  4. There are a lot of people assuming that Chavez is guaranteed a rotation spot. I think he is in the swingman role right now. Lacava said before that they were looking to add 3 starters with Estrada and Chavez we still need one more. I think the plan is Stroman Free agent starter Dickey Estrada Hutch/Chavez/Sanchez battle for the last spot Plus we finally have SP depth. Goodbye AAAA fodder starts
  5. Lol Hendrik's was not sold ten cents on the dollar Chavez is a reliable starter who take an even greater step forward this year
  6. According to advanced stats Chavez pitched better on the road than at home. Yet his ERA was a run and a half greater on the road Explain please
  7. Gibbons was going to.waste Hendrik's anyways
  8. Dude you are way off. We were a below .500 before we acquired Hawkins. We are now below .500
  9. Seriously we just acquired a starter for s reliever. This is a good deal. Yes Hendrik's could have started but that is a maybe I hope this is not it for the rotation
  10. Mlb central TV deal revenue and merchandising revenue at least maybe more
  11. So if the Cubs sign Shark are they out of Price?
  12. I think at best the team sees Sanchez fighting Hutch for the 5th spot
  13. ^ He oughta come prove himself ALEast before you make comparisons Randy Johnson. Sorry you can't pitch your career in the NL West and be an all time great
  14. Pillar Sanchez for Salzer
  15. Honestly I am thinking the same thing. Why has it taken so long to have the surgery. Now he prob wont be ready for Opening Day
  16. Honestly I am thinking the same thing. Why has it taken so long to have the surgery. Now he prob wont be ready for Opening Day
  17. I can't believe teams will be willing to sign a non closer pen piece to 4 years at 9 a year
  18. Ortiz played for Boston. He will get in
  19. Krod traded for nothing. Would not have minded that
  20. Would you guys feel comfortable with giving up Sanchez for Chavez
  21. Wouldn't it be better to just use a pitching machine if we are going to rely on babip anyways
