  1. I don't think innings as big of a concern as most people make it out to be. Yes I fully expect Hutch to start. Chavez has experience being the swing man. When he was acquired they compared him to Estrada last year.
  2. ^ I think Shapiro is done. If you consider the minor free agents he signed probably have been promised around $2Mil each if they make the team, that brings up to $140. He doesn't seem to be the type if guy who is going to max out at the start of the year. The bullpen right now is Chavez Delabar Loup Cecil Sanchez Osuna Whoever makes it from the minor deals That is not a very good pen. It has 1 elite reliever and 1 good closer but that's about it. Sanchez was getting exposed in the playoffs and the more he pitches the more he is going to get hit. They really needed to resign Lowe instead of giving the money to Smoak and Saunders. Adding Lowe would have given us a better late inning option that Sanchez plus the possibility of having Osuna compete for the 5th rotation spot. Maybe the plan is to move Revere now but I can't see a team trading a good reliever for him especially considering how over valued pitching is in the FA market. I see him possibly moving Revere for a B prospect then using the money to sign from what's left. They should really sign another late inning arm and see if Osuna can start.
  3. Even in 2007 yanks and sox only combined for a bit over 30% and that was at the peak of their rivalry when both teams were playing playoffs series very year. I can't imagine the two combining for more than 25% in merchandise sales http://m.sportsbusinessdaily.com/Daily/Issues/2007/04/Issue-135/Sponsorships-Advertising-Marketing/Yankees-Continue-To-Dominate-MLB-Licensed-Merchandise-Sales.aspx?
  4. No way that number is true.
  5. Last night I dream Aaron Sanchez was 12-2 at the all star break with a sub 2 era and was going to start for the American League
  6. Why would Shapiro want to win with this team anyways. If he did all people would talk about us that this is Alex's team The best thing for Shapiro is for the Jays to be mediocre so he can trade for prospects at the deadline. That is his goal
  7. So we have spent 30 Million on Happ Chavez Revere Smoak Saunders. Lol
  8. Seriously $3m for Saunders is dumb. There is a chance he can come back but its a f***ing waste otherwise. So much for Shapiro's risk analysis
  9. Dollar store price Sigh
  10. How do you know when he started juicing
  11. Would it be fair to say that our pitching projects to be the second worst in ALEast
  12. We aren't getting much out of 1B. You have to think we can do better there
  13. Trumbo is a good candidate to strike out 200 times over a full season
  14. Jays did not offer Price a contact
  15. Hopefully all of the above
  16. I know all the points made. I know I know But man this f***ing sakes. Throw money aside. This f***ing sucks.
  17. Looks like Sanchez hinting he has been traded
  18. I can't believer people are willing to give away a .300 hitter with speed for 6 Mil yet keep a guy who is missing an important part of his knee for 3 million
  19. If Saunders is tendered how much is he expected to be paid
  20. Horrible I'd rather have Lowe Back. Even if thats all we get, Now that Osuna is a lock to stay in the pen, we would be okay with a back-end of Cecil, Lowe, Sanchez, Osuna combined with a Shultz, Loup, and a mop up uy or two.
  21. When they account for FIP do they consider the fact that in the NL the ninth hitter is a pitcher who is a prime candidate to strike out where as in the AL there is the DH who is usually a top hitter
  22. Horrible deal for a National League pitcher. Zimmer is going to struggle facing the big boy team. If that strikeouts per 9 dips any further he could be really bad.
  23. People here would have no problem at trading Pud Galvin for prospects
  24. Another suggestion is to offer Bautista a career deal like Ortiz
  25. I am good with calculation ;-)
