We threw away a lot of games on having Sanchez, Norris, Dubront, Boyd, Copeland start. Replace those start with someone average and we finish in top 10.
But there is no reason to break up a good thing, its not like we are getting a front of the rotation type starter. Any deal including Edwin or Bautista will have them as the best player in that deal. Plus we are going to get a high draft pick out of them anyways.
There are lots of starters on the FA market and as far as a prospect is concern EE will still be worth a draft pick
Like I said, there is no reason to fix something that is the best in the majors right now. Team needs pitching, and has allegedly payroll room to get pitching. We have a shot at a championship and need to take it
Nor should they
Edwin at the cleanup spot gives us the best chance of winning the world series. Jays should bring back the same lineup.
Revere
Donaldson
Bautista
Encarnacion
Tulowitski
Cola/Smoak
Martin
Travis
Pillar
Goins main if backup
Pompey main of backup
This is the best offense in baseball the scariest offense in baseball and there is no reason to change that
I think Hutch is still seen as a starter. Shapiro said in his conference that we need two starters, if you take Hutch out if the equation than were 3 starters short
I don't have a $100 but I think Osuna is a starter next year and if Estrada is back you have your five starters
Rotation is likely Stroman Dickey Hutch Estrada and Osuna
The Key is building a team that suits your ball park. Royals have a lineup that doesn't strike out a lot and a pitching core that strikes out a lot of hitters.
Its suits there bugger ball park
