  1. Nature of the Rogers Centre means we will always be above league average in runs scored. We will also be above average in runs allowed Need to be top 3 or top 5 to win consistently
  2. People who are against extensions should consider thinking about the lineup we had in 2009
  3. Extend both. Then try to win championship s
  4. Encarnacion is a good mlb player. Jose Bautista is Elite.
  5. I can't see us winning a championship with any of those guys. If we sign Price I don't know what's going to happen in the future but we will be the best team in AL. I think we could go all the way in 2016 I want a championship. I want to see the Jays win one.
  6. I dont think they wanted to trade Hendriks. They wanted Chavez, and Hendriks was what Chavez cost. Also keep in mind that the views of Bluejays management may not be highly correlated with the views on this board.
  7. Stop looking at the mirror so much
  8. I'd go the other way. We are trying to win a championship in 2016 we can't have a lot of flyers. We need sure things even if they cost a little more. I'd go for Oday and Lowe. Real shutdown guys. Combined with Osuna Sanchez and Cecil we would have a championship worthy bullpen
  9. Jealous that his numbers consistently look better than they should?
  10. Sir are you implying that the man is on the juice It's completely natural to have 300 lb of lean muscle
  11. Matt Hague to go Eric Thames in Japan
  12. Well assuming he is Navarro is looking at 1/3. Not much more
  13. So Chris Ianetta is worth 1/5 Mil Navarro shouldn't even expect that?
  14. So will BTS once again abondon ship once we sign David Price to 200/8
  15. I would stay away from National League Pitchers
  16. Price and his agent think differently, they are both Vanderbilt Graduates. If Price gets 200 Million over 8 years (25 per year), there are time value of money considerations. Discounting at 10%, that 200 Million is only worth 133Mil in Present value dollars. So 40 Mil for one year >>>>> 133 Mil for 8 years.
  17. No 1/30 probably not, but I wonder what he would think about 1/40 or 1/50
  18. Would Shapiro want to win with a team AA put together ?
  19. For what? Watched him pitch lately?
  20. I think signing Price and extending Bautista gives us 2-3 chances to win the World series here Everyone should want this everyone should want a championship. Wasn't last year amazing. Imagine 2 or 3 more years like that
  21. Verlander hasnt been as bad as you think. He has given surplus value for his contract the first three years combined and he projects to have a higher value than any of the Jays pitchers other than Stroman Don't be surprised if Verlander is back to 3-4 WAR next year.
  22. Price is an ace and will be an ace for at least 3-4 years. After that he will be servicable for another 2-3 years considering he is left handed. Correct me if I am wrong but at $8 mil/WAR wouldnt he only have to be worth 25 wins for the deal to be fair? Not even accounting for the fact that the number will probably be 10 or 11 mil per war in a couple of years. I think Price is a sure fire bet to attain 25 Wins in that time span.
  23. Is it possible that Lacava and AA had differing view on Chavez when he was with the Jays?
