    Lindor has been absolutely on fire since this discussion. Getting MVP chants at Citi. About to top 5 WAR on the season for the seventh time in his career.

    Francisco Lindor is an interesting case re: HoF candidacy. Has now eclipsed 50 career WAR and is having a third straight elite season following a couple of downturn years. Still only 30 years old as well so he's got some miles left on the odometer. Outstanding defensive shortstop and a great hitter for a middle infielder, 30-30 club member, etc.

    Agreed with all of this. Even monster, all-time great hitters like Mantle and Willie Mays didn't put up two 60 HR seasons (or 3 50 HR seasons).
