  1. Get him out of the 2 hole, and move him to 5. He can’t handle pressure but Teo can. And no he doesn’t merit a massive extension of any kind unless it’s very team friendly.
  2. Can anyone guess the outcome of Fattys next plate appearance ? I’ll be shocked of the result is anything but an out.
  3. This is no doubt low point of the season. Things look better next week. The Jays should smash Seattle when they visit Toronto later this summer. But I would trade one or both corner outfielders for relief or even better starting pitching. The Jays have too much of the same type of hitter and Vladdy is not the elite hitter we thought.
  4. What’s happened to Nate Pearson ? Any news why no call up even with all the injuries.
  5. Vlad is like the worst hitter on the team. Chasing sliders off the plate is not encouraging. He needs a serious vacation from the majors and learn how to baseballs again in Triple AAA.
  6. I thought that being overweight was one reason affecting the launch angle. Once fixed, he started hitting line drives (2021). The chronic launch angle syndrome affecting Vlad is truly puzzling. Maybe it canÂ’t be fixed, very doubtful, or thereÂ’s undisclosed injury (he did get hit by a pitch in the hand/wrist area). I sure hope things change and fast.
  7. Soto also has 8 doubles with an OPS north of 800 and doesn’t suffer from chronic launch angle syndrome as does our so-called generational talent.
  8. Because their generational talent doesn’t have a launch angle issue
  9. Our so-called generational talent has clearly forgotten how to hit and I’m sick and tired of the launch angle issue, it’s been 4 years and it’s the same thing over and over again. Fix it or get out. Would anyone consider a straight up trade of Fatty for Soto.
  10. Well that is why not signing these two to huge long term contracts was smart. It’s good talent evaluation, in the sense that maybe there isn’t as much talent there as we are led to believe by the media.
  11. Well, at least this one got out of the infield for a change.
  12. Fatty must be hurt. He should be Placed on the IL with a phantom injury and replaced with Biggio, the latter couldn’t be any worse.
  13. Fatty probably the weakest hitters on the team.Could he be hiding an injury ? Hasn’t hit a double in over a month or a HR in 3 weeks. His outs are all weak ground balls. Must be hiding an injury, he couldn’t possibly be this bad.
  14. This must be sarcasm, they look terrible and Fatty is the absolute worst, stuck on 4 doubles and 7 home runs.
  15. Good thing Jays didn’t ink fatty to a large long term deal. 1st basemans that OPS 800 or so are easy to find.
  16. Vlad is stuck on 2 doubles and can barely lift the ball into the outfield, hardly what you want from your franchise player. Things should turn around when the Jays face weaker opposition, it’s a long season.
  17. Seems Vlad is 0-2 in every at bat and just getting himself out. His outs are either strike outs or putrid ground balls. This is is weird for such a talented hitter.
  18. Anyone here worried about Guerrero ? Seems way off and his numbers are down big time. Is he pressing or getting bad calls ? I do hope this turns around as the offender centres on him.
  19. Correct me, but Vlad hasn’t hit a double in August I believe and slugging under 0.300 which is dreadful for a 1st baseman. Bo is not doing much better.
  20. It’s ground ball after ground ball. Seems like Vlad forgot how to elevate the ball. Wonder where his average will finish this year if this continues
  21. He is too fat and the ground ball rate, launch angle are alarming.
  22. Shaw should go in as a defensive replacement for Fatty GB
  23. Tellez back would be wonderful as it means no more Fatty ground balls
  24. Agreed Fatty has a serious mechanical flaw in his swing which appears to be sustainable. He rarely makes good flyball contact. The batted ball profile is dreadful. Adjustments are required for which better conditioning is required. I don’t think he’ll make it though. Some of it is mental and he appears just too immature. Is it common for hitters to OPS 1.0000 in AAA then completely fail at the top level ?
