    Dickey should be on a very short leash next inning. He seems keyed in now but I am fine patching nine more outs together in any way possible. A win vs. Price will be huge.

    They barely did anything to earn that. Dickey just gets himself straight into trouble. So many wasted pitches, so many full counts, so many do or die payoff pitches. And then of course the catching circus.

    No balls out of the infield, not even an infield single, but 1 run and a 2-on jam.

    Stroman is up there on my least liked Jays list. Dickey has that Droopy dog look about him when another flat knuckleball gets predictably clobbered, but I find Stroman's tantrums so much more obnoxious. He plays with fire for no reason and then barks when he gets burned. So much undeserved hype coupled with tiresome, unearned swagger. It's like Lawrie all over again.

    I'm as casual as they come, so I have no idea how good/bad Casey is/can be. Is Derozan his biggest problem? Is Casey giving too much opportunity to a player who isn't good enough to deserve it? Is Casey good at managing his squad otherwise or is he universally shaky in his decision making?

    No way. Osuna + Estrada for Revere + Price. Travis needs to earn his damn way onto the cleaning crew, thanks. (Stroman too, as far as I'm concerned.)

    I've never understood the "aiming" either. Like, will they just stop once they hit 86 wins and be satisfied with the Wild Card? Will they strategically lose games here and there to make sure they don't accidentally get a division title?

    It was my girlfriend's birthday on Saturday and we had good seats at the game. It was looking like a disappointment but did it ever turn out to be an amazing game. Afterwards we went to the Keg Mansion where I had set up a surprise party with 25 people. Then we came home and drank with friends at a local bar on the pier until closing time. The Best Day.

    I think it's funny that even the most staunch Dickey defenders seem to have a pang of disappointment when they realize he will be starting the game they just bought tickets to. Even I've come around to not hating him (thanks Spanks), but if I bought a ticket and then he ended up starting I'd be like http://replygif.net/i/272.gif

    Wasn't it just a couple of years ago that the Jays went 4-14 vs. NY, including a season sweep at Yankee Stadium? The tides have seriously turned. I love it.
