  1. Was keeping up with this through the day. Choo, uh, chewed him up. Single handedly gave my Premier team a good day.
  2. Seriously, even the ground ball was BS. A couple of bad pitches, yes, but a lot of shenanigans went down.
  3. The Yankees did nothing to earn any of that, except the Ellsbury single.
  4. A f***ing circus. There's at least one per series at Yankee Stadium. This game is being given to the Yankees with a side of fries.
  5. July 25-27: http://www.baseball-almanac.com/teamstats/schedule.php?y=2014&t=TOR
  6. I won't be able to see most of this one, so I won't mind if it gets postponed. On the other hand, a double header in Yankee Stadium later in the season sounds like a disaster. Jays-Yankees game are always circuses, so spending more time on the field in one day is like holding a lightning rod during a storm.
  7. There's nothing egregiously incorrect about it. It's just a choppy and convoluted paragraph with near-fragment sentences. It's just that he is given money to do this that gets me.
  8. Jesus H. Get me my red pen of shame please. I've seen better writing in literal university freshman papers (not in many, but some!).
  9. First line up of the year:
  10. She's charming and adorable. I used to not like her but the more I see her the more her charm wins me over.
  11. Are Jamie and Greg on a date? Jesus guys, it's a big table.
  12. I didn't even think of this. The team probably wants to slice off pieces of that contract any way that's possible.
  13. Baseball fans: celebrating with misty-eyed pride on Jackie Robinson day; still can't spit hard enough at other, yet-to-be-accepted minorities.
  14. Good. Was hoping AA would take a shot at him when I heard the Cubs cut him.
  15. Every post you've made on this subject has had me in stitches.
  16. thank you Christina Hendricks is the obvious celebrity choice here, and I'd kill any one of you if she asked me to. Seriously. I'd bathe in your blood.
  17. This is amazing.
  18. Today's lineup. Liking it. Looks like Pompey is getting a good look higher up in the lineup still, probably only until Saunders returns though. Most importantly: THIS ONE'S ON TV
  19. Izturis is on the DL (or heading there). Travis has pretty much claimed the 2B job for the time being.
  20. Disagree. Throwing the ball back to the catcher is basic; there's nothing challenging about it most times you'll do it. It's like an NBA player suddenly struggling with walking and dribbling.
  21. I guess this is what a Martin-DHing lineup might look like, short of Saunders when he eventually comes back. Interesting that they've had Pompey hitting 6th a couple of times. Has he been good enough to warrant a legitimate look that high in the order? EDIT: There's a second game today, but I don't think the lineup has been posted. Someone else will have to do it because I'll be busy most of today. Doubt anyone will care about the other game, but I'm willing to bet Smoak at least will get some time.
