    I won't be doing any play-by-play, but: First three batters reach: -Carrera doubles -Izturis RBI Single -Barton HBP I forgot to mention this one's also on 590, or at least it is via MLB.com. So good to hear the voice of baseball again.

    Siddall talking up Dayan Viciedo for 1B while Edwin DHs early in the season. Has he been that good at all? I'd still rather have Smoak or Barton's defensive skills at the position, but I'm willing to reconsider that.

    Seriously. It's disgusting. The whole experience is like the polar opposite of why most people go to baseball games on summer afternoons. I went to the '07 opener and it was like a damn NFL game.

    I don't even understand the logic of a guy earning a spot over another guy but still being undeserving. If Wolf hypothetically beat out Norris for the rotation, that would mean the team got another quality starter for a bargain. If he sucks, as will probably happen, he'll stay in Buffalo, affecting nothing at all.

    I was so looking forward to seeing Hutch pitch this year, but it looks like his spot his going to Randy Wolf instead. Flex pack canceled, f***ing AA.

    So if it gets to the point that Randy Wolf of all people is needed to start 20 games, what other pitcher would you recommend the team use instead? You're going on the erroneous assumption that he'll be pitching in place of someone available who is better. As for this being AA's worst move, this is an addition. Not a move. No one has been replaced or gone elsewhere. No one is going to lose his job to Randy Wolf.

    Norris sheepishly says he didn't really like his outing, but he looked pretty good to me. Everyone else too. Sometimes it's just best to take the perfectionist's opinion with a grain of salt.
