  1. Dude, we don't see races here, especially in September. Remember: we're Blue Jays fans. Except BTS. His team is often in a race, so he sees plenty of it. Which makes him a racist.
  2. Yes. Exactly. Calling AA a good GM for putting together a fantastic offensive core is like calling a parent good because one of her kids is healthy, smart, and athletic even though her other one is left alone in a locked basement gnawing chicken bones.
  3. Stop goddamn fighting about Kevin Pillar. The Jays won and we got some post-game Evanka. That's good enough for me! http://i.imgur.com/fu3VCrW.gif
  4. I didn't see the game until about the 5th or so. Did Norris get hurt?
  5. I wasn't even nervous once I saw Pillar closing in. What a guy.
  6. Sounds like Gibby is making a lot of poor strategic decisions so far this year.
  7. I got into a huge fight with a group of internet people about that article just yesterday. I know, I know! Me, getting into an internet fight over politics? Haha, strange world.
  8. Goddamn AA. How did you not get this offense a decent pitching staff?
  9. I don't even recall making that post?
  10. This? http://ftw.usatoday.com/2015/04/orioles-john-angelos-baltimore-protests-mlb
  11. Reading about it now. If this were a movie, people would criticize it for being over-the-top. Is this even real life?
  12. I'm really out of the loop today... What in the world happened?
  13. I was stunned how quickly the plug was pulled on Cecil as closer, especially considering it arguably happened because Cecil didn't field a sharp comebacker cleanly (think back to game 2 @NYY). Anyone who has worked anywhere will probably agree with any speculation that the BP is probably just a group of dejected rookies and disgruntled vets at this point (all the way down to AAA too, where Delabar reads big league box scores with a half smile). I've worked in environments in which the director or manager's decisions aren't well regarded by the employees and s*** can get toxic fast. Consider major league egos, huge salaries, and the fact that failure can happen nightly on national TV and you probably have a very tense, very frustrated bunch. Why does some kid who's never faced anyone older than most players' little brothers suddenly get centre stage at Fenway Park or Yankee Stadium, and right after the senior-most member and proven arm gets publicly yo-yo'd out of the bullpen king's role over a time frame of days? Let's not even get started on the effect this is having on the rest of the position players.
  14. Gibby doesn't want too much of this s*** on his head when he has to interview for another gig.
  15. Unlikely. This is the first 9th inning loss. I mean, sure the bullpen would be structured differently, but ninth inning blown saves haven't been the problem (although there have been awful ninths in blowout games).
  16. I don't consider giving up a go ahead run s***ing the bed necessarily, but okay. And yes, I mentioned the Braves game.
  17. Just a reminder that no one asked for: This team's offense literally stars Jose Bautista, Josh Donaldson, Edwin Encarnacion, Russell Martin, Jose Reyes. The team's closer is fresh up from A-ball. Setup man too.
  18. From memory: Game 2 @ NYY Game 1 vs. Braves Game 2 @ Rays Tonight Not to mention how unnecessarily close the blowouts against the Rays and O's ended up becoming in the two home series.
  19. Face-saving? Raving about the A-ball set-up man and closer all Spring Training and then demoting them as soon as they predictably start tanking is like... not even getting egg on your face. I don't even know what this is.
  20. Watching on Gameday. Did they really pitch to the batter with 2nd/3rd, 1 out? Why? I can't even watch this team on TV anymore.
  21. Goddamnit. At this point better to just turn the game off after a Rays bloop. Always goes pear-shaped with the weak s***.
  22. I thought Cecil vs deJesus was fine, if over-urgent. Bringing in Castro to face a better pinch hitter is just puzzling. And all because of a bloop single. Just another game at the Trop.
  23. I'm thinking Valencia on 1B, Pillar in RF, and Tolleson in LF (out of necessity) then.
