  1. So can someone tell me a correct distribution of runs? If you have a three-run lead, should a team stop piling on and save those runs for a one-run lead or a small deficit? Also, how many realize that there are 29 other teams employing world class baseball talent who are doing their best to prevent runs, and that the Blue Jays play these teams 162 times a year?
  2. This thread has more s*** and garbage in it than Toronto's sewers. You know that whiff of stench you sometimes get on Front street? That's from half the posts in this thread.
  3. 33. Also, figures it's Sizemore who breaks it up of all guys. Indians wish their guys could swing a non-noodle bat these days.
  4. Holy s*** the Indians cannot hit.
  5. I can live with Colabello over Smoak, but Goins over Carrera? Really?
  6. Player quirks that deserve their own threads: Reyes' hair Bautista's scowl Edwin's parrot Pillar's nose Sanchez's ears Donaldson's cock
  7. The other day Sportsnet did a baseball plays of the week segment and Brock Holt's cycle was #3 or 4. Outside of its rarity, what's so great about a cycle? It's just a numerical quirk because 1-2-3-4. You know what's better than a cycle? A single, double, and two homer game. Or a single and three homers. Or two doubles and two homers. No-hitters and perfect games are notable because they are accomplishments of the highest baseball order. A cycle is neat, but that's it. Show me four home runs or stfu.
  8. Has Trumbo's career with the Mariners amounted to anything yet? Are the Mariners better for having him? Every time I look he's making an out.
  9. I agree with this, except that if you look past the Phillies chances are you're probably not going to get burned.
  10. she's ok.... peasant girl type... would hire as nanny/sex slave for a few years Screenshotting this post for... posterity.
  11. Goddamnit, Carrera. Sluggish garbage costing the team.
  12. Two of the three hits were on the ground and make-able plays with slightly different defensive alignments. Loup did his job. Schultz escaped doing pretty much the same thing but had more luck.
  13. Yeah, nice job excusing a stupid play by cracking at the critic. He was out by a mile; it was a risky play when the risk wasn't necessary. And whatever @ calling out "after the fact" and then mentioning EE maybe hitting into a DP. Better to risk being thrown out trying to stretch an extra base for a shallow single?
  14. I do. It was a long shot play. If he were running home, maybe, but not that play. That was clearly a station-to-station type of hit and Martin would have focused everything on 3rd base; it's not like there was other chaos going on around the basepaths to create indecision. Plus, JB and EE up next. Gotta disagree with this aggression.
  15. Why do you insist on throwing out highs to emphasize lows? Is a 410-run June offense not good enough because they've run into a couple of strong pitchers?
  16. Decent isn't good enough, IMO. It still needs a boost if the means are reasonable. I hate this option too.

  18. Very possible! Really wish his grand slam would have stayed fair last weekend. Good because the Jays would have won obviously, but it'd also have given him +1 HR and +4 RBI that some GM would probably find interesting enough.
  19. AA desperately trying to flip Navvy by building some numbers up. The deadline is in a month after all.
  20. Take the s***** May out and the winning pct is probably .650+
  21. Since June 2, when the Jays were 23-30 (pre-game 2 of the double header): Rays: 15-8 Yanks: 13-9 O's: 16-6 Jays: 17-6 Sox: 10-14 A 17-6 run = 2.5 GB gain in the standings.
  22. This is disgusting. I can't believe you'd admit to this.
  23. How can you claim to be a real accountant when your posts make so little cents?
