  1. This team just hemorrhages leads. How does the offense not just want to strangle the pitchers?
  2. I hate not seeing Martin in the lineup, but I guess this is as good an opportunity as possible to get him some rest. It's just odd being so peeved that a Jays starting catcher isn't in the lineup. When's the last time a Jay catcher was such a keystone offensive piece?
  3. Offense is stellar. Pitching is... the opposite of stellar. Sub...terranean?
  4. Guest starring tonight on How to Lose a Lead: Steve Delabar
  5. Is this not just verifying there's nothing wrong with him? Unless you're arguing that if Cueto has a bad outing the scouts should have second thoughts or something. Short of a health/injury report, I'm not really sure what a scout can shed light on with regards to Cueto. If he was coming off the DL or pitching in extended ST or something, you'd want someone to verify that yes he looks as good as he reasonably should. But other than that? Johnny Cueto is Johnny Cueto.
  6. Were they? I didn't take part in any of these arguments but I think it was clear that there was a high likelihood of the pitching staff hamstringing the team all year. Using what metrics was this staff considered adequate to support a title-calibre offense?
  7. Seriously. I wish I could go back 5 years and pull up all the "I hope this team keeps tanking so the JP era can finally end" hysteria posts and teach some posters some perspective and self awareness.
  8. I'm sick of this team and these implosion innings. What a wretched staff.
  9. And Donaldson would look good in their lineup. *sad trombone*
  10. Wow, I did not realize the A's were 12-22. Huh. Wow. I was under the impression they were keeping themselves afloat. It seems I need to pay more attention.
  11. I wish Buck would stop banging on about Hutch qualifying for a win. How about the team qualify for a win, hm?
  12. Joba completely imploding vs. White Sox right now. 5H, 4 ER (incl. 3-run HR to Melky), 0.2 IP. Blew a 6-3 lead (now trailing 7-6).
  13. Jays win. Post-game Evanka. A good night. http://i.imgur.com/fu3VCrW.gif
  14. I hear this Dalton Pompey kid is pretty promising. Anyone have info on him?
  15. I think it's more incredible that we were involved in a low scoring game at all.
  16. I'm enjoying it as much as I can for my Premier team. It'll all come crashing down once he gets caught for corking his arms or something, though.
  17. Dude, maybe not this bad but I had no doubt it would utterly hamstring the team. This isn't even a case of "on paper it looks good - what's happening?" it's straight up "yeah there are two rookies in the rotation, two junkballers, and an A-ball closer". Half the forum saw it coming a mile away.
  18. One stud in the middle of this disaster wouldn't help that much. Even with Stroman we'd still be seeing this garbage.
  19. A major league general manager entered a season with this pitching staff thinking it would be sufficient to complement his playoff offence.
