I remember Adam Lind being vocal about crossing the border so often and how it's a real pain in the ass and that no one liked it. Most players, if given the option would prefer to be closer to where their home is to see their family, less travel, etc. Do you think Buerhle liked not being able to bring his dogs with him? Taxes are also apparently issue for many, although I think that concern is blown out of proportion and more comparative to teams with no state tax. It's more than just turf though but a winning tradition would surely help.
