    They should be able to backload a contract to make that happen though after hearing Atkins on Jeff Blair Show this morning I think the ship has sailed on Edwin and I kind of doubt Fowler is coming down for us after speaking with Bautista.

    I'm so neutral about Bautista, it's really odd. Probably because I was set on seeing Fowler penciled in at the top of the line up from everyone playing fantasy GM but Bautista as plan B shouldn't be a bad thing either. He's a prime bounce back candidate available on another team friendly salary, we should be excited. Can someone pull down douchey rankings from fangraphs? I found him to be less douchey at the plate this year based on eye test.

    There's nothing wrong with correcting grammar per say, but it's kind of enjoyable when it bothers Grant.

    A player is really only worth what a team is willing to pay him so it's kind of a mute point. Regardless it was just a silly tweet that looked kind of foolish on the surface when you consider $33.33MM would be the highest paid player in the majors, or at the very least exactly in line with contracts like Kershaw/Price, etc.

    Well that's suggesting there is another $10MM available, glory was saying there might be none left if they sign Fowler based on the rumoured payroll budget, hence the comment.
