I liked the idea of moving Bautista over to 3rd as a temp move when the injuries piled on but I don't think I dig the idea of moving him there permanently. I guess to get Lawrie @ 2B and bring in more options for a RH bat would be worth the risk. I've managed to shift my mind to fire sell this team after last night, so I don't really care either way.
If Reyes continues to bat the way he has over the past month, I would think his overall season numbers should be good enough to trade in the off season. Still have to eat some salary mind you...
Oh I remember the back and forth and the overreaction to it. I just don't think it means he's a horrible person for being offended and singled out to millions for being a bad catcher. Just like they could have said, AA's a bad GM for not replacing the weakest catcher in the majors.
I really don't get the hate on JP... nor do I get the booing. Yes he's likely the worst player in the league who can hit a home run but some of you make it sound like he tried to rape your wife.
He should have been called out to begin with, you could see that from the 5th deck.
Thanks Buerhle, I stuck up for you and you just made me look bad lol.
Buerhle's got this, relax. For what he's done for this team he deserves the respect. He flirts with dangers and never sweats it that's the type of pitcher he is. He gets out of jams, he pitches for contact, that's what he does.
It's pretty stupid really. Two out with runners on, get in there and be ready to swing. Going up with the intention to take in that scenario is just putting yourself in a hole and showing bunt isn't going to bring in the D with 2 out lol.
Except this is coming across as a desperation move in an attempt to fill a hole in the BP by rushing one of our prospects who arguably should still be in AA.
I think if they don't reach the post season there's no reason to continue this beaten path, isn't his own self window of contending over with at that point?
