  1. Yes that would really suck, if they pull a Romero and let him struggle all year, his confidence going forward will be shot. I don't mind the idea that others have of maybe moving him to the pen or platooning him with someone, maybe Redmond.
  2. I agree and when I heard AA talk after that game, he said we haven't had any dialogue about limiting Hutch. In a nutshell he said we feel he's not going to exceed 180 innings anyway so why put a limit # on him. I was like what??... He's already exhausted.
  3. Don't move stro, hutch, sanchez or Norris. If that means staying pat, then stay pat. Having the option to gut & rebuild around a young MLB ready core (including Lawrie) is just too appealing. I don't feel that this year's team, with upgrades are WS contenders but I'd still enjoy seeing meaningful games played in September then 2015 try outs which I think this current roster can provide.
  4. Has there been an update on Izturis? I remember the initial talk was best case scenario August worst case out for season.
  5. smh Considering the Cubs targeted Stroman & Hutch + for Samardzja, Price+Zobrist is going to gut everything we have and then some. Would I made that move above? Not a chance. Ride the season out and hopefully get a streak going with healthy players returning. Fire AA in the off season, bring in a GM with the balls to fire sell the team and build around every player talked about in this post + Lawrie. I'll be a satisfied fan seeing the Jays just play meaningful ball this September while creating a bright future in the off season then a gutted team for a wild card playoff berth.
  6. The point of adding a starter is to replace Happ, not lose Stroman & Hutch in the process which is what it would cost to make a legit win now trade like going for Price. Cliff Lee would just block any trade to come here, not to mention the massive price tag that comes with him. The reason cheap trades happen is because a 2014 Chase Headley isn't getting anyone to the world series.
  7. It's not going to happen, stop dreaming. They'll get a Delabar replacement arm and then AA will tell the media that there weren't any fits for the organization and the asking prices would cripple the team. He'll then go and and say Morrow will be back soon for rotation depth and with Lawrie coming back we feel our 2B needs are solidified. We've discussed moving Bautista to 3rd with Reimold in right and feel we're a better team today than yesterday. The end.
  8. Casey getting taken out in the 9th 2 outings in a row. Welp...
  9. why is he still pitching? you going to let ortiz come up as the tieing run too?
  10. Toronto, the place where all .170 hitters hit bombs.
  11. Every hit that leaves the infield is apparently drilled accordingly to Buck.. It's annoying as s***.
  12. Goins is all like "f*** I'm on base, what do I do now coach?"
  13. I miss the days when Cecil & Delabar were all this team needed for the 7th & 8th.
  14. Reyes has been so much more himself at the plate this past month. Keep it up and maybe he can be moved in the off season.
  15. hehe... 1 out and no shift on Gose is a little different.
