    Some of you are asking for a little bit much from a traditional game of baseball. I totally agree with if you're going to review it and have an angle that gives a commonsense result than go with it but it's an experimental year right now. My opinion is pretty simple on the matter. I like getting calls right and I'm ok with a few missed ones. I feel no dugout should get to see the replays themselves before arguing a call. It's a massive waste of time and if a manager or player truly believe a missed call was made than make the call on the spot, get it reviewed and move on. Then if you're still not happy kick the dirt at the ump, steal a bag and give the fans some fireworks.

    I think the most idiotic thing the Jays haven't done is swap Kratz & Thole. Pampering Dickey should be long over with at this point. I'd gladly trade an extra 2 passed balls every 5th game for an available bat in the line up who can hit for average, hit lefties and has pop. It seems to be the most logical 'trade' we can make right now that will improve the team. Any small improvement that's available now is better than doing nothing at this point.

    Colby Rasmus' value must have just plummeted about 30%+ being labeled a platoon player in his contract year.

    The sad thing is most people saw this coming but were clouded by wins and watching division rivals lose. At the back of our minds everyone knew it wasn't a good idea to rely so much on players like Francisco & Tolleson to continue playing over their heads and that a major regression was bound to happen. Problem was, we had no other options thanks to management's fruitless off season. The only move is to pray the team is within contention mid-late July when they can try to patch it up. The toughest part is watching 6 straight weeks of .400 ball while our starting pitching has continue to perform above expectations. Throw in some key injuries to our only performing offensive players and at this moment, July needs a miracle to turn things around. If they can't play at least .500 ball the rest of the month and there is no saving face at the deadline, than it wouldn't surprise me if they fire sell.

    Shi is basically right, I mean swapping Stroman & Hutch for Hammel & Shark isn't exactly upgrading the rotation while losing our prospects.

    Glenn & Mastro have a combined 19 AB with 2 hits between them this year. Drew Hutchison has 2 hits in 3AB.

    His numbers are a bit skewed, last night was his first hit since May 24th.

    A quick calculation and Thole makes about $9259 / plate appearance. yep. Edit: for comparison Cabrera is on pace for about $10,666 / PA
