  1. Thought I remember seeing there was a sexual assault accusation or something inappropriate he did.
  2. All this talk about improving the offence from within and better coaching/strategy and they come out and look like they weren't prepared at all. Just piss poor at bats all night throughout the entire lineup.
  3. Astros should bring out the trash can they used to bang on so the Jays can throw all their bats into it.
  4. Yeah this has definitely been the least excited I had been going into a season since 2019. A lot of my friends who are more casual fans were the same way. Just feels like its an 84-85 win team where best case scenario is a wildcard spot and then get lucky in the playoffs.
  5. Rock bottom in the first week of the season lol. This team is just so frustrating to watch.
  6. Not as insufferable as the Jays offence.
  7. There is nothing more frustrating than watching an offence be terrible outside maybe horrible baserunning. To think they could not improve the offence in the offseason, is an absolute farce.
  8. Been saying all along this lineup is weak.
  9. This is my worry with this lineup easy outs and not even making the pitcher work. Its one thing to not have a good result but soft contact on 3 pitches is making it too easy for the pithcher.
  10. Yeah it was more so in response to everything. The Diaz homer was 4 inches above the zone with good velo, that's the one where I question it. But yeah hes getting smoked, even that DP ball was scorched and on a pitch down the middle.
  11. Wonder if Francis is tipping pitches. They are all over him.
  12. Plain stupidity would be Atkins giving IKF 2 f***ing years...
  13. Because the Front office gave him 15 Million dollars.
  14. Bichette out again with a neck injury. Hopefully its just a couple games and not a recurring thing.
  15. I'd take the under on IKF being a 1.5 win player. Only steamer really has him projected to hit that if he reached that many PA. The Bat thinks he's barely above replacement level. Gurriel did seem to do pretty well for himself though. Speaking of which what a fantastic start for him already at 0.6 WAR lol.
  16. 2/15 for a guy who's a bench player at best? If the Jays knew what they had with Ernie Clement I don't think he would even be on the roster at this point, if it wasn't for his salary. He's a fine fielder at 3rd base but can't hit..
  17. You can't tell a person to go grow a pair these days either, they might take it literally and go get a cock and balls from the clinic.
  18. lol I don’t know why I thought Luke’s was on roster but yeah I still think he would be a worthy roster spot. And I mean yeah even if his sprint speed is declining, he’s still a positive base runner which the team could use. SB are more of a skill than just speed.. 22SB vs 3CS is f***ing good.
  19. Well yeah that’s my point.. varsho should be hitting like 7th/8th but instead he’s 5th. I actually like Biggio and he’s fine as a number 9 hitter but IkF is a terrible hitter, KK isn’t a number 7 hitter etc.. Varsho has basically been a league average bat and then you have Kirk (who I think it’s fair to question what type of hitter he is) and 3 below average bats in a row. That can also take the pressure off a SP as they navigate towards the bottom of the lineup (what we say in games 2 and 3)
  20. 2023 numbers with a .254 BABIP, in which statcast said he underperformed his numbers, I’d say that’s pretty damn good. And then when you factor in the speed, how is he not a perfect bench bat? He would be taking over Lukes roster spot, so not sure why that affects the Votto/Voggy bench spot. 1 year/5M even would be great value. Plus he provides insurance against an OF injury (springer and KK are pretty old and have been injury prone in the past.
  21. While there looks to solid depth the bottom of the lineup is still pretty weak. Varsho Kirk Kk Ernie/IKF Biggio I mean if Kirk and Varsho dont improve upon last year thing get pretty ugly. If Votto can get healthy and Turner is passable at 3rd base that lengthens the lineup and it doesn’t look quite as bad.
  22. He’s been pretty damn good against LHP the last few years even if he’s getting older. Also can provide speed/SB which is what you want in a bench bat. He’s be taking at bats away from IKF if anything, which is a good thing. Clement at 3B Schneider at 2B Pham in LF Is a whole lot better defensively than having Turner at 3B.
  23. Every team has POS... Its not about the have fun league its about winning actual games. The team had anthony bass last year who I'm sure wasn't popular. Its not like these guys are all best friends anyways. Vladdy and Bo aren't going out to dinner with each other on the road lol.
  24. Yeah if you didn’t have Varsho, KK is a great CF to have. It’s just with Varsho being a great defensive CF, his value isn’t as good by being put in LF. Having 4 below average hitters 5-9 is the problem with the current offence. KK 10M salary would have been better spent in getting a hit first Corner OF or 3B for this particular jays team.
