  1. Sounds like he is willing to go to school. I think we could get him to sign with slot or a little bit higher.
  2. You can do that from rounds 5-10. Theres still some great players you can get in the 3rd round. As well, I don't think we need too much over slot value needed so far from our picks.
  3. I actually like this pick. If you can get a guy who will hit .280/.340/.425 that is great offensive value from the Catcher position. And the guy sounds athletic enough to be above average behind the plate. I think you can teach a guy to be a good framer as well if he is athletic so that should be a plus.
  4. Agree 100%. You feed some of these guys healthy meals and substitute peanut butter sandwiches with chicken breasts and you will get better results. Also these young players which you have invested a lot of money in will add muscle making them better ball players.
  5. Only SN would have an aerial view during a very important pitch with the bases loaded.
  6. He's awful. Can't even string a sentence together without making a mistake or pausing. Not to mention his voice is terrible for broadcasting.
  7. I would have to think this injury is going to cost him some money in Free agency. Surprised he is still out.
  8. If I was a major league team, the one thing I would do is make sure these minor leaguers at least have healthy meals each day. Sounds like some of these guys skip out on meals because they don't have enough money. The team could spend an extra $500,000 on giving these guys a gourmet meal before the game instead of these peanut butter sandwiches. For a team that invests a lot of $ on draft picks, you would think they would want those players to eat healthy as it can have an effect on their performance.
  9. I think Rasmus just needs to play a few steps deeper. Seems that hes not as good at tracking balls directly hit over his head and they always drop a few feet out of reach. He seems pretty good at getting jumps with balls hit in front of him.
  10. Real issue is swinging at ball 4 tonight. Been at least 4 of those with nothing to show for it.
  11. He's actually been really good tonight. I think thats the only bad call so far. Can't be perfect.
  12. The big key is if they win tomorrow all will be forgotten and they can move on. I was really pissed but have calmed down some in the last 10 min. It is what it is.
  13. His defence has been worse than what his bat brings to the lineup so far this season. Hes been Jeter bad defensively.
  14. If you look closely you can see the ball changed direction at the last second when it grazed him on the leg.
  15. Buck is dumb... clearly hit him and the ball changed direction...
  16. http://www.sportsnet.ca/baseball/mlb/morrows-progress-vital-for-jays-future-success/ "But until that happens, money is so tight the Blue Jays won’t even have their usual war chest for next week’s draft." That quote seems super scary. If they f*** up this draft because they don't have enough money to go over slot of even to slot that is a disgrace.
  17. I think that is his prospect list, no? I don't see the teams listed so that was my thought anyway. If that was a mock, I agree it doesn't seem very good.
