  1. Prado is having a very similar season to Headley but is owed a ton of money over the next couple years where as Headley is a free agent. Headley also has hit very well in the last 2 seasons compared to Prado.
  2. I'm just curious who would you hire to replace him and would think do a good job?
  3. If anyone is looking to go to the game on Tuesday I have a single ticket in sec 517. Bought the tickets when i lived in Burlington but have since moved to Ottawa.
  4. Read the posts above, as they are answering your exact question. Above average defence and a guy who has hit at a very good level in the previous 2 seasons. A clear upgrade over what we have.
  5. Even if we have him for the rest of the season Headley is an upgrade offensviely most likely and defensively. I hate all this talk about how the Blue Jays have played much better defence this season. The team has above average defence at only 2 positions when fully healthy (CF and 2B or 3B which ever Lawrie plays). Navarro, Melky, Reyes, Encarnacion are all well below average defensively. Thats half the team.
  6. This. With how much money he is making he shouldn't cost much more than an average prospect if we eat the salary. I doubt he would want to sign an extension this season but maybe we could sign him if he performs the rest of the season to a short term deal so he could reestablish value himself. The team really needs an infielder while Lawrie is out. Francisco has fallen off a cliff.
  7. The thing is you don't want him coming up for a spot start if he's not up here to stay. It starts his clock and wastes an option. AKA Nolin last year.
  8. This. If the blue jays can get on a hot streak like in May during the post season they could win the WS. Look at the giants a few years ago.
  9. This. Because managers have to make so many moves over the course of the season there will be some stupid ones. If you look at any team their manager make dumb moves. Gibby actually uses splits and most of the time makes good decisions. Imagine we had Farell? he would probably use Lind against lefties all the time.
  10. Jinxed him there. Just swung out of his shoes for two s***** breaking balls.
  11. Ill give him credit he actually had a good AB there. Not really much else you can do with whos in the lineup.
  12. I think 35 dollars is great value for the game. You can't say it wasn't exciting.
  13. I don't think Dickey is really performing much differently than when he was with the Mets. He is just not a fit for the AL East. Put him back at Citi Field and his ERA is probably in the low 3s.
  14. 3 of the HR would of been Home runs in a lot of other ball parks. Wouldn't really call it unlucky when he threw meatballs on those pitches. He looked great in the first 4 innings. Dittto after that.
  15. I had the same thought. He actually has 3 plus pitches. The control is bad tho and is magnified in any pressure situation.
  16. When Bautista, Lawrie and Kratz are in the lineup it is very good vs LHP.
  17. When the team is healthy they are actually pretty good. The current lineup vs LHP is garbage obviously
  18. I don't understand it. The guy just doesn't even try to bunt when he could get on base at a way higher clip than just standing up there hacking.
  19. The problem is you are using 2 roster sports for one start.
  20. the way the lineup is constructed is probably the best lineup we could put out there Vs a lefty. ITs just there is no talent vs Leftys without Lawrie and Bautista.
  21. At least the HR have been solo. Its 2-0..We were going to have to score runs if we wanted to win anyway...Dickey has actually pitched pretty well.
  22. After a full season at AA and another half season at AAA. That same timeline you are looking at Pompey debuting in 2016 maybe a call up in 2015 in Sep if all goes right.
  23. His velocity seems to be down 1.5 MPH this year. Otherwise numbers look to be okay besides ERA.
