    Thats a pretty good return. It sucks you gave up Russel for Semien and 1 year of Samardzja but at least you get a good SS prospect with a high floor and 6 control years.

    Well considering they have 20 million left they should at least spend 12-15 million of that to upgrade the roster. You never know what can happen in the season so its important to have as many needs filled in the offseason. Once the seasons starts no one is going to make a trade until July and when trades become available the asking price is a ton higher than it is during the offseason.

    Really the only s***** teams in the AL are now Minny and Houston. Should be more parity as Oak has gotten worse while Red Sox/Jays get better with SEA being pretty good too. I think TEX is going to have a hard time turning it around with the current roster they have. Too many holes to fill.

    Agree. I would think that signing a starter for close to Holland's salary and putting Sanchez in the pen is a much better move as well.

    Worst part is he says he loses money. Not a chance in hell he loses money when he owns the building and gets revenue from concessions, parking etc... Not to mention TSN payed around 30 million for the TV rights. Then lies about everything.

    If there is a 5x tax and/or loss of 1st round picks it makes going over the limit not worthwhile in cost.

    Even if there is no International Draft they will change the rules and impose harsher penalties in the next CBA. Something like a 5x tax or loss of draft picks.
