  1. Well I don't like the trade player for player. I just think you could of got a 4th/5th starter for less. You are probably right about Sanchez and the As but then there are probably other teams like the Braves who value Sanchez's skillset more. If Chavez had more than 1 year of control I would like it a lot more. I think people are overlooking that the Jays have to pay Chavez $4 million more than Hendriks. I would much rather pay a FA starter an extra 5 million and keep Hendriks.
  2. Jamal Murray is on TSN right now.
  3. FA SP market next year is pretty bad too. If he puts up a 2.5 Win season he could get over 50 million.
  4. Funny thing is his wife is Canadian so its likely worse for his family.
  5. If the Jays traded Sanchez it would of forced him to use Hendriks in the role. I think that is what makes me not like the trade. Sanchez likely still won't be able to get LHH out and be used in the 8th inning.
  6. At the end of the day the trade is still 4 years for 1 though. Its not like its the Dickey trade where he immediately signed a 2/25 extension.
  7. To me this signals Sanchez is going to be used in high leverage situations. Really hope Lowe is signed because I think they need more than 3 good relievers.
  8. If Hutch is going to the pen they should of just traded him instead of Hendriks.
  9. Well thats pretty much what the Jays just did the other way.
  10. 19th best SIERA among relievers last year. I dunno I'd say thats pretty damn good.
  11. Question: If the Blue Jays traded 1 year of Hutchison for 4 years of Hendriks would you be happy as a Jays fan?
  12. I dunno Hendriks was one of the best relievers in baseball last year. If he can even be 75% of that for the next 3 years he has tremendous value. Chavez is good but I just don't like giving Hendriks up for him. I hope the resign Lowe now. Everyone on the team has said they want him back in interviews and he was great last year.
  13. Yeah Tim is great. I also really enjoy his PxP for CIS football. Sid doesn't seem like the smartest but he probably just plays that card for ratings.
  14. If its a 1 for 1 swap this looks terrible. Hendriks is probably better than Chavez outright. Not to mention you lose 4 years.
  15. For Hendriks? Not sure I like this..
  16. Thats fair. I just think that the biggest reason they want him traded is that they think the makeup/character isn't worth the headaches and distractions that his production provides.
  17. I can't stand those clowns. Not only is their sports knowledge bad but they are just annoying to listen to. Tim & Sid aren't the smartest but they are fun to listen to.
  18. CP3 played so good too. I feel bad for the guy in a way because his team has so much potential. Doc Rivers looks like a pretty bad coach and an even worse GM. His son is garbage and shouldn't even see the floor. Not to mention Crawford gets exposed and is a negative player at this point. The team is a championship contender with CP3 and Blake but when they lose so many of these type of games I think you have to start looking at Doc.
  19. I'd easily put 100$ on the driving force being his attitdude/makeup compared to his talent. They probably think his talent level isn't worth the headaches he causes. As a 3-4 Win player on a very cheap contract thats not the type of player you go out and trade especially when you will be selling low. Reminds me of the Escobar situation in a way. Dodgers should get a whole lot more than what Escobar got though.
  20. lol Puig is clearly a clubhouse cancer if the best pitcher in the world and a heavy analytic FO wants him traded.
  21. He is right about the difficulty of landing a FT position though. You have to be a substitute for at least 5 years it seems now a days. A good way to land a FT position is to be bilingual. They are always looking for French teachers or teachers that teach other subjects in French immersion.
  22. Then referenced his first HR being at RC.. He never really said anything about the city itself which clearly was Hazel's motive since everyone around MLB thinks Toronto is a terrible city blah blah blah. Random question but where does he even live? I don't think they mentioned it in any of the interviews.
  23. Golden State is too good for this league. Steph is unbelievable.
  24. Ah the Barry Davis effect.
  25. Then went on to talk about the team on the field and the coaching staff. Nothing about the actual city.
