  1. ST is as far away to us now as was the last week of August. Think of how crazy that is.
  2. I was going to say they would be a contender in the AL West but didn't realize how great that division is now. Might be the best in baseball. Houston probably a 90 win team Texas looks really good with Darvish back LA has Trout all be it the rest of the team sucks Oakland looks like crap but you never know
  3. Thats hilarious.
  4. Wasn't Cano asking for like $200 million from the Yankees and then the Mariners offered $240 out of no where. Like it was 40 million better than any other offer.
  5. Didn't Jenner get in a car accident and kill an old lady? Maybe he/she didn't hit the person directly but I thought I heard something about that. Then she wins the Arthur Ash award the same year. Puke
  6. http://infieldchatter.com/joshdonaldson The interview with Donaldson on the YES network was pretty sweet. Had no idea he was a big sports memorabilia guy. It'd be cool if SN did some fun player interviews like that. Cabbie is probably the closest as it gets and it seems like there is only a couple the entire season.
  7. Salazar with the biggest Dbag profile pic and tatoo lol.
  8. That was some of the worst officiating I've seen. Still doesn't explain why Rex Punted on 4th and 2 at the 50 yard line down 10 with 10 min to go. Greg Roman should not be calling plays either lol.
  9. I factored in Market/growth as well into situation so I think that knocks Utah down a few. Also the fact they are in the Western Conference with the Spurs and Warriors has to count for something.
  10. Only teams I take over Raps of that list would be Pelicans only because Davis is a top 5 player. Maybe Indiana cuz of George. If we were to include front offices I think TOR would go up as well.
  11. If David Price was coming off TJS in a season where he didn't pitch how much money do you think he gets if he tried to maximize $? I think some team would still give him $100 million over a 6-7 year deal.
  12. That T Ross extension looks so so bad.
  13. Golden State Cleveland San Antonio LA Clippers Chicago Atlanta Miami Minnesota Houston OKC Toronto
  14. I'd call them better than mediocre. With everyone healthy I'd say they are a top 10 NBA team. If damn Demor the ar could consistently play the drive to the rim/pass/no mid range shots they have a little more upside. Obviously they aren't a perfect team or even a "great" team but like I said before with the NBA landscape there are much situations. If they blow it up like Philly you could be watching garbage for 5+ years and never get back to where they are now. Just curious for the people on the board how would you rank the top 10 franchises in terms of present and future value?
  15. Economics of the NBA is that star players want to play for big market teams and that aren't going to get a FA if they go back to being that s***** franchise. The Warriors got a ton of luck as well as being one of the smartest Front Offices. There are so many rebuilding teams that just never become good because of the landscape of the NBA. I think Masai is the best GM the Raptors will ever get so hopefully it works out.
  16. Based on the fact the Eastern Conference sucks lol. I think you hate on them a bit too much. JV had been really good before he got hurt. Cory Joseph and Carrol aren't starts by any means but are pretty good 4th and 5th pieces. If they still had Amir I think they would have a realistic chance at getting to ECF.
  17. I mean really only 3-4 teams actually have a realistic chance of winning the title this year. Outside the Warriors, Spurs, Cavs, Bulls/Hawks (maybe) you could say every team has no shot of winning. Warriors look like they can have a Dynasty. They don't even need to play the regular season lol. Edit: Could put OKC in that group too. Although after this year they're doomed.
  18. Meh I don't think Toronto will every be a top NBA team based on the economics of the NBA so I'm happy being a top 10 team with a shot at getting the the ECF. I can't see another GM being able to lure a FA to Toronto better than Masai and if you tank you could be like the Sixers having to wait 5-6 years to get a franchise player. I'd rather be interested and watch good basketball than not even caring about the team because its a D-League roster for 5 years with a very small chance to get 2 franchise players in a draft. I understand people have different opinions but thats just my viewpoint.
  19. They also had the worst GM in baseball. I'll put faith in AA over Amaro to build a team.
  20. Lowry has quietly had an elite start to the season. For as much as we s*** on them Raps have been pretty damn good this year. Top 10 team in the NBA so far.
  21. So I don't want the Red Sox to sign Price. Even if the contract is bad 5 years from now the present value makes the them better than the Jays. Much rather they have to sign a Cueto to $130 million. Jays probably don't have this good of a chance as they do this year to win the division for the next 3-4 years.
  22. Assume you would have Cecil close but the pen would look pretty bad beyond that. If that was the plan I don't think they trade Hendriks for Chavez.
  23. I think stroman projecting as a super 2 would make a little difference. Were those comparables super 2 as well? I would gladly do 5/30 with a couple of option years at 12-14 million for Stroman.
  24. Also has one of the best collections of talent in the majors.. You are making it sound like he is coming into a terrible situation when it is not true.
