  1. The Jays are going to sign a bunch of minor league FA so you don't have to worry about any of this yet.
  2. Aaron Sanchez working on adding more strength more this year. https://theathletic.com/28859/2016/12/08/blue-jays-aaron-sanchez-is-bulking-up-again/
  3. Matt Smoral got taken by Texas in the Minor league Rule5 draft.
  4. http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/evaluating-the-2016-prospects-kansas-city-royals/
  5. Sparkman had TJS in 2014 but looks solid. Hopefully can be the 2017 Biagini
  6. Interesting if anyone saw Shaprio's interview on Tim and Sid yesterday, but they asked him a few good questions. He said the reliever market used to be a loophole that is no longer there, and the prices reflect their worth now. So anyone looking at Chapman's FG war total and saying well this is good for the Jays!, don't realaize Chapman is worth much more.
  7. FG depth charts has the Yankees at 85 Wins and Jays at 80. Must be a mistake though because Jays at 80 wins seems way too low. Yankees are an interesting team. Position players are almost all 1.5-2.5 Win players. Pitching staff is very good.
  8. You're happy he's in the division? Even if its a lot of money, he's worth it in the immediate future.
  9. Welcome to the AL East!
  10. The reason he said because Travis can control the bat and hit the ball to all fields.
  11. I think there are some Front Offices who take that Jays package. Five top 10 Position player prospects in a good system in 1 deal is a haul.
  12. I wouldn't have done that trade myself just saying they "have" the prospects to make a deal, even though no GM is going to offer the amount of prospects it would take as it kills your system.
  13. He also just said recently if they got Fowler than Travis as the number 2 hitter and JD at 3 is something that made sense so....
  14. The Carmelo to the Knicks trade is one I'd say the Nuggets did better on.
  15. I find that a little difficult to believe. Would the White Sox have turned down Aldord, Vladdy, SRF, Pompey,Urena and Mcguire?
  16. Yeah basically anyone can look at a top prospects list and say I want 3 of your top x prospects. You could make an argument they should have demanded Robbles instead of Giolito as a lot of these prospects are pitchers.
  17. Lol Passan on Tim & Sid saying the Nats should have offered the same package for Cutch. People just freak out at the name and don't even look at the contract.
  18. This is good to hear. Nice to have all players working at the same facility and can be supervised by the high perf. staff. Stroman just got there too. Sanchez and Pillar as well.
  19. I think Hahn is in charge now where before Kenny Williams was making most of the decisions. Maybe I'm wrong.
  20. Risky though with all 3 being pitching prospects.
  21. Yeah but then your bullpen sucks and the team loses close games.
  22. Bud Black did before he got hired. Of manager who I'd say are a clear upgrade: Girardi, Hinch, Hurdle maybe Cash.
  23. His splits were decent vs Lefties a couple years ago.
  24. Rogers one of the worst owners in baseball. Just be thankful they lucked themselves into Shapiro.
  25. Baltimore seems like a good spot.
