For all the talk of player development it seems they are lacking in helping out the Dominican players in the minor league lower levels. They should hire a guy to help ease the transition and take them out and show them how to do grocery shopping, laundry etc.. -
He's at least the 3rd best player on the team, likely 2nd. I think are overlooking him based on his per game totals. He's a fantastic defender allowing players to shoot 5% worse than they normally they do. http://stats.nba.com/player/#!/202335/defense-dash/ And he spaces the floor allowing Lowry and Derozan to drive to the rim. There is a reason the Raptors have their worst net rating of any player when he's off the floor.

He's one of their best players and is a lot better than Biyombo was. Like Amir Johnson where you didn't really notice all the stuff he does but there is a reason why he has one of the best net ratings. Perfect stretch 4

How much does Patterson get this offseason? I'd say 4/60 but if Biymombo got 72 then Patterson should get at least that.

That 2 PG lineup has the highest Net RTG of any lineup in the NBA. Definitely should not be limited. Agree about Ross, the team needs his shooting. He should be shooting it more tbh. Wonder if the Pacers change their mind about Paul George. He'd be a perfect fit too.

No it isn't. Smoak extension was way more terrible at the time as was the Chavez for Hendriks trade (Which looks even worse now)

Well if Jose wants a 2 year deal why don't we give him that then? Honestly I would prefer the 2 year deal since like some of you said the comp pick value isn't just for 1 year. There has to be something else about the FO relationship that we don't know about.

There was a reason why 7 of the top 20 pitchers in WPA were relievers. WAR doesn't show the true value of high leverage relievers thats why they are getting paid more. Shapiro even said on the radio the other day the market has finally caught up to what they are worth and before it was a loophole.

Looks like thats what he did in AAA last year and the results weren't good. As Donaldson says "They don't pay you to hit groundballs"

The big Question Mark with Pompey is his defense . He's graded positively there in his brief stints in the major leagues but he's looks like he plays scared of making a mistake. The scouting reports say his routes need to improve too so its tough to gauge his value.

I think even Bautista is more well liked by his teammates than Donaldson.

Only chance you would be even able to do something like that would be after 2018. Most FA classes you could take the best player at each position and you still wouldn't have a 95 win team.

If you actually were going to move Osuna you could get a better package than Puig.

A Rod had a wRC+ of 130 in 2015 after everyone thought he was finished. People act like Jose was dogshit last year but he had a wRC+ of 122 which was tied for 44th best in MLB. Steamer has him projected to be the 15th best hitter in baseball next year. His swing and contact rates are exactly the same as prior years unlike Encarnacion who's seen a big decline. I'd bet on him having a productive year next year as a LF/DH/1B

I think people are overreacting. Some team is going to realize Jose friggen Bautista is available, sign him and great great value. Sure he had a bad year, but how times have we seen elite players bounce back after bad years. Nelson Cruz, Robinson Cano, Adrian Beltre, even people thought Ortiz was done after 09.

Terrence Ross with a 63.8 TS%. What a steal of a contract that has become.
