  1. He probably doesn't want 2 years. If he puts up 3 WAR this year he easily gets 20 Million next year on a 1 year deal so why would he take a lower AAV?
  2. Yeah the younger players are a lot easiest to get signed. Once you're a star they are constantly bothered for autographs. I don't even bother to try at the games since there so many damn people.
  3. If they resign then yes. If not, that would be a clear violation of the jersey code and season tickets should be confiscated to anyone who does that.
  4. Yeah seems like a complicated market with all the different grades thats why I just stick to baseballs. When I went down to Spring Training last year I was able to get a few autographs and I sold a couple of signed JD and Stroman baseballs on Kijiji which payed for the other baseballs I kept. Nice thing about baseballs is they keep their value if the player gets traded.
  5. Wow didn't realize baseball cards for prospects go for that high in $. I've been collecting signed baseballs but maybe I should be doing cards too.
  6. Shapiro didn't even really work much on Baseball Ops the last few years. Remember reading that Shapiro wouldn't have done the Jimenez trade if he was GM but let Antonetti do it.
  7. Its not even a given Masai is here if they take Lillard...
  8. They get Lillard there's no Lowry, who is the better player. Lillard is amazing offensively but kills a lot of it with his defense.
  9. Man the Magic suck. Not sure I've seen a team shoot the ball worse.
  10. He made a visit to SickKids Hospital too. Could have been just that + his business ventures.
  11. The Raps just don't have good defenders on the team. Derozan, Ross and even Lowry give up a ton of straight line drives. Carroll used to be good but since the injuries he's been pretty hit or miss. Joseph is really the only good perimeter defender on the team so when has a bad game it really comes out. And once you penetrate JV isn't good enough to protect the rim.
  12. Glad he did that. I never met him myself but just heard from more than a few people he's a dick.
  13. I've heard he isn't the nicest guy. But could have been because it was a couple hours before the game and he wants to focus on the game. Heard Longoria is a huge Dbag.
  14. People talk about the QO screwing him but I think the Luxury Tax screwed him worse. All the big market teams like the Red Sox, SFG and Yankees would be in on him but they to get lower than the Luxury Tax in the next few seasons.
  15. I think they keep it all the same until expansion. If they expand by 2 teams you could just have 4 Divisions of 4 like the NFL. You could do: TOR/DET/CLE/CHI. Except if Montreal gets a team they will want to be in a division with the Red Sox and Yankees I would think.
  16. Yeah they really seem like they should take a step back and do what the White Sox did. They have gone in as a low to mid 80s team the last few years and it hasn't worked. Blow it up and trade Archer, Longo etc... Although 3rd base and SP isn't a great market to be trading from right now. Red Sox are really the only contending team needing a 3rd baseman
  17. You are forgetting the player has to accept the deal and there's no way he accepts that. I think he would rather take 1 year at a lower AAV and bet on himself to have a great season.
  18. I actually wouldn't mind Tampa too much. The Stadium is s*** but they'll get it resolved eventually. In terms of places to live in the US I would rank the St Pete/Clearwater area pretty high up there. Also meant not just the city/franchise but the team as well. Oakland's collection of position players are junk. You have a few average players but there really isn't any growth potential there.
  19. A lot of Oakland fans are really f***in weird. Remember watching the game a few years ago and whenever they panned to the crowd they were doing some crazy s***.
  20. If you could choose to take over as GM for any franchise right now is Oakland your last pick? Everything about them just seems so meh.
  21. Rip
  22. Huh? All players eat in the clubhouse before games, Anthony Alford is going to be eating the same thing as the backup catcher. They eat what the clubhouse has.
  23. Shapiro said they were going to change that with the meal options being upgraded (not sure if it was actually done). It blows my mind how though that teams invest so much money into the major league team but feed these guys peanut butter sandwiches before games. With prospects being worth up to $60 Million you would think spending an extra 5 or 10 Million on development is a no brainer. Sadly a lot of the owners don't want to put in $ for this kind of stuff.
  24. lol imagine if McDavid played in the tournament, he's technically still eligible
