    Yeah I don't see the Jays giving up a pick and overpaying for Fowler. I'm guessing Bruce, Pearce/Rodriguez to platoon with Smoak, and then maybe another small trade for a OF we haven't considered.

    Man I hope Atkins trades Carrera before he has 500 plate appearances next season (Gibbster loves him).

    Agree. Appreciate what they did from 2010-16, but realize that is not the production you will be seeing from them from 2017-2021. Move on.

    4/80 was more than fair. Good luck whenever you end up Edwin. Jays tried. No one should be criticized when Edwin moves on, but I suspect Rogers will.

    Makes Puig look a bit more attractive as a trade target, but also makes him more valuable. Wonder what it would take to get him.

    Two months ago, probably Ryan Tepera and a turkey sandwich. With a new front office in AZ, they might be a tad smarter.

    No starting prospects in AAA means they will prioritize depth again. So my guess is Biagini starts in AAA much like Hutch did last year.

    Yeah you'll get no argument from me that Gibbons doesn't know s*** about using a pen, whether Cecil or anyone else, but he was using Cecil in a high leverage trio with Storen and Osuna to begin the season at the very least....just seemed to lose faith pretty quickly. Gibby definitely uses small sample sizes to determine his faith for whatever reason.

    Gibbons was using him in high leverage spots in April, and when Cecil started blowing games, then his usage changed. Gibby lost faith in him.

    Sign Reddick, Pearce, and Pagan, and I think there's enough talent spread around to put the team in the 85 win area. If Gibbons finally learns how to use a pen and maybe the Jays get lucky in one run games finally, then it's possible. That's all you can really ask for given how short sighted the previous regime was. If the 2017 team can contend and continue to build up the farm, then it's a success.

    Even if he accepted the QO and went back on the market next year, what team is going to offer a 37 year old more than a two year deal? If he gets a three year offer this winter, he should take it and run.

    Jays want dem draft picks. Wouldn't surprise me if the Jays get an OF soon after the QO deadline is over.

    Rasmus is a weird dude. He'd probably retire before he comes back to Toronto. Knowing how cheap the Pirates are, would the cost for Cutch go down if the Jays took back a bad contract? i don't think they have a really bad one, unless they don't want to pay Josh Harrison 2/18. I'm sure it would still take a big package though.

    I don't think Bautista accepts the QO, but if he does, my god move him to 1B. I won't be able to stand another season of him in right field.

    Yeah rumors about Jays interest in certain players seems more legit now. When AA was GM you knew any rumors were BS.

    Edwin to the Rangers and Bautista to the Astros is my guess.

    That's an endorsement to sign Pearce if I ever saw one. If Law says he sucks, then sign him yesterday.
