  1. It's really unfair to Vlad to keep him in the minors, he's clearly ready, but dammit the Jays have to play the long game here. Hopefully MLB can make the next CBA more player friendly, but it always seems to get less player friendly.
  2. Giles was not bad in his first two outings. He was awful last night. That's one game. It's insane to ignore many years of data and point to one f'n game.
  3. There's no way the org non tenders Giles unless he gets hurt and figures to miss all of 2019. If he performs like he normally does next season, then he's a prime trade chip.
  4. Damn one bad game and Giles already getting crapped on. It's one game guys.
  5. The good news is there is no chance Rogers will try to milk this any longer. After 2016, sure, keep trying. After 2017, eh, it's probably a .500 calibre team but those types could get lucky in a weak league. But after 2018? No way anyone can spin this into trying to compete. Maybe we will see some real movement now while the team gears up for 2020 and beyond.
  6. Hopefully Giles doesn't punch himself in the face after this one.
  7. It seems like all the Sox/Jays games at RC this year have been close.
  8. No, I'm blaming Tempura for being a mirage. Not "the Mirage", that's Teoscar.
  9. Being on a s***** team is going to test Stroman's patience. He came into the league in 2014 when the Jays were above .500 and probably should have won a WC spot (the f'n Royals and the A's on the decline? Ugh) and then 2015 and 2016 happened. Now he's on the other end of it. Osuna forced his way out of Toronto, otherwise the team may not have moved him. For those who want Stroman traded (for rebuilding purposes), another blow up or two from him would probably speed up the process.
  10. Tepera is a run of the mill reliever who had one good season. Gibby will keep throwing him out there in the 8th or 9th but he is what he is. Wish the Jays moved him before he fell off.
  11. Was looking forward to selling high on Tempura. Now have to watch him implode like most "out of no where" relievers in their 30's.
  12. Forrest Wall striking out so much in AA that Teoscar is telling him to choke up a bit.
  13. Pretty good chance Estrada, Grandy, and Clippard will clear or have cleared. Just a matter of which pile of s*** the Jays will accept in return for them. JD is the one to watch for. He can't be put on waivers yet until he starts his rehab (I think) so we'll have to wait.
  14. Drury resting up before he breaks out next year.
  15. Makes sense to have Gibby’s timeline end with Jd’s timeline. That might have been Shatkins plan. Let Gibby manage the JD teams and then move on after that.
  16. That was Gibby 1.0. The 2015 version was so bad he wanted me to rip out whatever was left of my hair. Since Shatkins took over he’s been noticebaly better, and harmless overall.
  17. Man who did Ryan Noda piss off in the Jays org? Spanberger moves up to Dunedin to join Clemens (who sucks) while Noda still in Lansing.
  18. He's a Boras guy now so he will wait until 2020 before he has a great year again.
  19. Let Estrada complete this bad boy. Mariners hitting nothing but weak contact.
  20. Man i missed Acetrada when he had hitters looking stupid on his changeup.
  21. Perez: 5 ip, 3 h, 2 er, 4 bb, 7 k, 0 hr
  22. Gurriel was as well before he got hurt. We just have to be patient and wait for this time next year and 2020. This is just the BS phase to transition into the next one and the front office is not rushing promotions for service times reasons. Once the young blood come up, things will get interesting again.
  23. Giles looked really good aside from the one hanger. Once the babip normalizes, he is going to be great again.
  24. Not like Gibby to have a starter go over 100. Doesn't happen that often, or it appears that way.
  25. Who is coming in out of the pen for the 8th and 9th? I don't even know who is in the pen at this point there has been so much turnover. Hopefully Giles gets in.
