  1. 1–1 heading to Yankee Stadium. This series is already great. Can’t wait for the next three games.
  2. The Yanks kill lefties so it's a bad match up but October is in Price's head.
  3. Braves, Rox, and Indians all down 0-2. The best teams are winning. The Yankees/Red Sox is the coin flip series.
  4. Had a feeling he would. Cashman does not make bad trades, but he might live to regret getting Stanton. Nine more years of old man skills until age 37 (and even his walk rate has never been elite, just good/really good most years). It's just a matter of how many good years the Yanks will get out of him before he falls off a cliff.
  5. If Stanton K's here, NY fans are going to s*** all over him.
  6. The Jays traded 8 players (for 13 players) at the deadline, and only teams in contention usually make additions mid season, so makes sense to see so many ex Jays. Only Loup of the players traded is not in the playoffs.
  7. I wouldn't count the Yankees out. If Sale is healthy he is hard to beat, but the rest of their staff isn't unbeatable. I think the playoff stuff is in Price's head so I'm interested to see how he does when he starts.
  8. I have the Yankees winning this series in 5, but damn the Red Sox have an amazing lineup. Yankees might be better served to bring Green soon. Three runs is manageable, but anything more than that with the way Sale has looked will be tough.
  9. The two best teams in baseball (depending on how you feel about Houston vs. NY). Should be a great series, not only in terms of quality, but for baseball. ESPN First Take actually started with baseball after the AL WC game, and the only time that show pretends baseball exists is if there is a DV or PED scandal. Manfred must be loving this.
  10. Houston beating down Cleveland and exposing them as the undeserving playoff team that they are would be great. Nice start to the series. You ain’t facing the Central anymore, Cleveland.
  11. Yeah, and Sanchez has the hard groundball/FIP beating potential that might make him more attractive to Colorado. I think that's a solid starting point to a trade if the Rox have devalued Gray enough to not even carry him on the post season roster.
  12. Atkins talked about trades being more likely than free agency. This is the guy to go after. Value is down, three years of arb left, dumn org trading him. Find a way to make his happen.
  13. I was going to suggest Sanchez for Gray, but even that might be too much now. Damn. Shatkins needs to be all over this.
  14. Billy Beane is the Raptors, and the Yankees are LeBron James. Can't beat them regardless of what decade it is.
  15. MLB is going to pimp the s*** out of New York vs. Boston, as they should. That will get all the prime time spots, and the only chance MLB has of getting mainstream buzz.
  16. The Jays took advantage of that too in 2015 and 2016. I mean the 2015 Jays were legitimately bad ass, but still came at a weak time in the AL East. 3 playoff appearances in 5 years, with 93, 96, and 89 wins is still pretty impressive. I hate the O's and am glad they are going through hard times now, but can't discredit them for that. If 2012 was their only playoff year (82 win pythag) then yeah it was a fluke run, but can't fluke 3 in 5. Doesn't make Rogers tampering to talk to Duquette any less ridiculous though. Shapiro saved our asses.
  17. The moment Rodney came in you had to know it was over right there. Yankees can beat the Red Sox. Sorry can't hate on the Yanks. They make good trades and develop from within. Everything we want the Jays to become. Don't hate the prototype.
  18. Yeah I don't think Duquette is nearly as bad as his reputation seems to be now. The O's had a five year run where they made the playoffs three times (2012-16) until the last two seasons. That's more playoff appearances than the Jays have had the past 25 years while in the same f'n division. He was also GM of the really good Boston teams of the mid/late 90s, which Epstein benefited from. Don't get me wrong, I'm thankful like crazy that we have Shapiro, but DD isn't awful.
  19. Yankees advancing is good for baseball. small market teams advancing is boring as s***.
  20. If Gray gets traded and it's not to Toronto, I'd be disappointed. As far as upside, that's as high as they can realistically go (assuming the Rox are fed up with him). Other than that, I'm guessing Atkins will trade for the Sp equivalent of 2017 Randal Grichuk. A pitcher who has a lot of potential but is not reaching it and hoping a change of scenery will help. Don't know who that could be, but I'm not expecting a big signing or trade. Maybe that's Gray if the Rockies undervalue him as much as it appears.
  21. Out of that group, I expect Perez, Murphy, Romano, Waguespack, Wall, and Ramirez to be protected. Copping is borderline.
  22. They should have put Schwarber in there with the bases loaded instead of Heyward. That was the bigger mistake. Definitely looking more and more like Maddon was a product of the Rays org, not the other way around. He made a bunch of mistakes when the Cubs won the WS too.
  23. Damn, Davis was signed to a 3/52 deal. Sheesh. Trade for Gray, Shatkins. Take advantage of the Rox.
