  1. Hatch now has 34 K's and 2 BB's in 35 innings and a +50% GB rate since the trade. He turns 25 next month so not a youngin, but add him to the list of AAA SP depth in 2020. The more, the better.
  2. Beeston claiming they were going to replace the turf eventually and then giving a time frame so far away that he knew he wouldn't be around to answer for it was genius. He got ahead in life for reasons like that.
  3. Kloff with 5 K's through 3. Looking good.
  4. Drury I can understand, but McKinney baffles me. He legit has no tools. Doesn't do anything well. With Fisher you see power, speed, and walks. Maybe you can turn that into something. Drury can play D at 2B/3B and might have some untapped power potential. With McKinney I don't see a single thing. Not even versatile because he's a bad defender in every OF spot. Maybe he can play 1B once in a while, but that's not a valuable skill. Hope he's moved in a DSJ type of move in the winter.
  5. Yeah I was debating putting him 7th ahead of Pardinho and Kay, but went with the pitchers instead. I'll say 7-10 is interchangeable for me depending on preference.
  6. 1. Pearson 2. Groshans 3. SWR 4. Manoah 5. Martinez 6. Moreno 7. Pardinho 8. Kay 9. Kirk 10. Kloff
  7. I expect the Jays to trade him in the winter if he has a healthy September. Someone, I think Heyman, mentioned prior to the deadline that Giles wants to stay in Toronto, so maybe an extension is doable, but one year away from free agency after this season and a big arb number points to a trade.
  8. Yeah I remember he had really good stat cast numbers last season (EV, LA, barrels). Now that is starting to come back after a bad start, combined with a good BB%, and he's playable in the OF. Not a star, but looks like he might be a big league regular if he keeps it up.
  9. Damn I'm actually somewhat intrigued by Teoscar now. Walk rate now at 10%, power has come back, and even a passable OF defensively.
  10. He has power and can draw walks. Too many GB's and contact issues. So there is good and bad with him. Some times those types can surprise, especially in today's game. Like I said I'm not expecting anything great out of him, but between him and McKinney, it's a no brainer. One has tools/some upside, the other does not. Agree about Alford. He's a long shot as well, but the Jays can afford to take risks on boom or bust types.
  11. I've seen it posted on this forum multiple times, and on Twitter, so you might be alone in hating that nickname. I'm more partial Montoyost, but can use either one depending on the situation. I realize I'm BS'ing with you, but you're taking everything seriously, so I'll stop here.
  12. Since you don't know what triggered means, here is a translation of what you just posted: "I'm not triggered......but you trigger me". Like I said, obnoxious homers. With no self awareness either, apparently. There is an ignore feature, by the way, you can use it. You obviously read my posts thoroughly, I'm flattered, but you can choose not to. Just saying.
  13. Wow, Kay has completely turned things around since joining Buffalo. With the Mets he had gopheritis with an average K rate, but now he's not giving up any HR's, striking batters out at a good clip, and giving up too many walks (but improving each start). Very positive signs.
  14. I kinda want to see Fisher play (there is some upside there even if he's a long shot to ever reach it), but yeah, I don't look forward to watching McKinney play. Or Tellez for that matter. Definitely want to see Alford get some AB's. He's out of options next year (I think), so he'll probably be on the 25/26 man roster in some capacity in 2020.
  15. Holy s***, some of you are the most obnoxious homers I have ever seen. If a tongue and cheek sentence about Montoyo playing everyone triggers you this much, you may need to evaluate your life a bit. Wow. At least my Buntoyo nickname was more accepted. I can rest easy knowing that.
  16. When someone wrongs me in life, I throw really hurtful insults like "he plays everyone". Harsh, I know, and I probably need to watch my language, but it needed to be said.
  17. Man when the rosters expand next month there will be a new lineup top to bottom every game. Montoyo plays everyone.
  18. I don't think they'll care about the super 2 as much as the extra year of control. If he's dominating AAA in April, then no need to wait. Call him up after you get 2026 under control.
  19. Pearson will not be called up in Sept, and will definitely get the Vlad treatment. Since we are talking about a few weeks, I don't think it's a big deal. Vlad was big league ready with the bat in mid 2018, that's why there was a big hoopla about it. With Pearson, he's on an innings restriction and only has 2 AAA starts. No rush, and no point, putting him on the 40 man now.
  20. I didn't like it for the Jays initially, only because I didn't think we needed to add anything (Stevenson) to get a player who was about to be out of options with no role on his team, but yeah it really seems like both teams buying at the lowest value and hoping to get anything of value out of it. Jays hoping they can fix Fish and Astros hoping they could fix Sanchez + get anything out of Biagini/Stevenson. Ultimately seems like a pretty blah trade for both teams.
  21. Kyle Johnston was acquired by the Jays in the Hudson deal. Before trade: 105 IP, 37 BB, 100 K After trade: 18.2 IP, 20 BB, 12 K Aaron Sanchez would be so proud.
  22. Hoping for a Yankees/Dodgers World Series. Two big markets and the two best teams. Good for baseball and baseball fans.
  23. The Mets drew 3 straight walks in the 10th but due to the umps it resulted in 2 outs and a single. Robo umps need to happen yesterday.
  24. 28.1 IP, 22 H, 9 ER, 2 BB, 23 K, 4 HR He actually pitched another scoreless inning after I posted that, so he had 7 SO innings tonight. He also had a 10:0 GO:FO rate tonight, which probably puts his GB% over 50% over that span, but I'm too lazy to calculate that.
  25. Hatch: 6 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 4 K, 8:0 GO:FO Numbers since the trade are pretty damn good.
