  1. Yup. Ned Montoyost using the DH spot to get Galvis in the lineup everyday was ridiculous. 100% the right move by Atkins.
  2. The Jays are giving young players days off and/or using the DH spot to get Galvis in the lineup. I don't even want Galvis back next year if that's going to be the way Montoyo uses him.
  3. Montoyo is DH'ing Galvis nowadays, so can't really throw stones.
  4. Wow Mets with the comeback win. Might see Stro and Sanchez in the playoffs this year. Mets talent (rotation in particular) is legit.
  5. Hernandez looking a lot like Domingo Santana since coming back from the minors.
  6. Drury might have been safe there, but never know with NY.
  7. The Mets/Nats game with a playoff atmosphere in NY. Great to see a packed ballpark and excitement like that. (game currently tied 3-3 with Stro on the mound for the Mets).
  8. Hopefully Boone was mic'd up.
  9. Interesting to see what they do with Teoscar next year. Fisher is likely the guy in CF now, and DH might be used to rest guys periodically so that Galvis can get his90 wRC+ vetrin bat in the lineup.
  10. Pearson, Manoah, SWR, Pardinho..........damn. Can't wait for wave 2 of the prospect injection at the big league level.
  11. The Yankees are to hitters what the Astros are to pitchers. I wouldn't read too much into it. Maybin has a 150 wRC+. The Yankees just know how to turn hitters around. The issue is, the Jays don't seem to know how to do that with hitters or pitchers, at least not yet. That needs to change.
  12. Robo umps need to be added yesterday. This is ridiculous.
  13. This offense is going to be really fun to watch, and this is just the beginning.
  14. Pannone is never going to be a big league starter when he tops out at 89. He's not good enough everywhere else to compensate for that. He was pretty decent as a multi inning reliever early in the year. That is likely his best role. Pannone, SRF, and Thornton all look like RPs but they currently are 3/5 of the rotation. Lol. Going to be a lot of bad games.
  15. Alford back in AAA and 1-3 with a HR so far. The Fisher trade might have sealed his fate on the Jays though, unless he's the 4th OF (out of options after this season).
  16. The Mets have a damn good rotation and a lineup of good hitters. Wouldn't shock me if they went on a legit run to the playoffs.
  17. Kevin Gausman got DFA'd and he's a better pitcher than Sanchez. If we as fans are not hung up on 2016 anymore, then pretty good chance GM's around the league aren't either. Sanchez's value was likely little to nothing. You can still not be happy with the trade as Fisher was going to be out of options after the season so his value likely would have dropped the longer the Astros held on to him, but other than Stevenson (who looks good in A+ and I would have liked to hold on to him), there really wasn't much value going to the Astros. Of course the Astros could fix Sanchez (and Biagini) and make us look foolish, but Pete Walker hasn't made anyone better since he's been here, so chances are it wouldn't have mattered.
  18. Man I wish we traded Giles before Montoyo let him throw 3 days in a row. Might as well rest him the rest of the year and hope he's healthy for 2020.
  19. Paulino DFA for Godley. Hope Paulino clears waivers. Still like the arm as a RP. My hope of him ever being a SP is done obviously. Can't stay healthy in that role.
  20. So after two starts in A+: 9.2 IP, 5 H, 6 R, 4 BB, 14 K, 1 HR. 18 year's old in A+. He'll definitely shoot up the prospect rankings next year (if not this winter).
  21. Font is looking damn good so far (and he's not even wearing a Rays uniform!). Hope he turns into something decent. Not terribly old at 29 and lots of control left.
  22. Yeah, he is actually playing for a contract, so it might be more beneficial to him to be waived and go to another team where he actually should play everyday. That place is not Toronto, certainly if they'll be load managing young players excessively because of him. Galvis too, but I think he's here to stay due to the option.
  23. Yeah my bad just took a quick look at his pitch info/pitch velocity numbers, didn't go into how often he used each pitch. That just jumped out to me. Dude is getting killed when using his FB either way. Not a bad guy to pick up and see if they can fix his pitch selection, but yeah, Pete Walker is not the type I'd feel comfortable fixing anyone.
  24. Vlad and Biggio sitting so that Smoak and Galvis can get in the lineup is just mind boggling to me. Montoyo going to be annoy me the rest of the season with this s***.
  25. 5 mph drop in velocity this year. He's either injured or his arm is toast. Can't hurt to see what he has though.
