  1. Urshela's had some ugly swings, so Pearson has to K this guy......
  2. Man if you can't trust Pearson with a 4 run lead....
  3. At least this ump has been consistently bad for both teams. No bias. Just bad in general.
  4. We talk s*** about Buntoyo, and he deserves all of it, but Boone's bullpen decisions are pretty bad too.
  5. That's what I am wondering. I am watching on YES and the last time they cut to the pen, it was Pearson warming up. Not sure if Romano in the 9th is this board talking or Buntoyo's actual decision.
  6. Nicely done by Mayza. So is it Pearson in the 9th or is he actually going to use Romano for the 3rd day in a row (and I believe he warmed up without coming in on Monday)? This is why you don't burn your closer in a 5-1 game two nights ago.
  7. If a lefty threw a pitch right down the middle, it might hit Rizzo.
  8. Mayza coming in according to Gameday. So Pearson in the 9th?
  9. I miss Espinal. Would have been so much better than Lamb, Smith, and Valera.
  10. Mayza was warming up so I'm guessing he's coming in at some point, but curious/terrified how Montoyo plays the last 2 innings.
  11. This is a scary ass situation. I have no confidence in Soria at all.
  12. Gardner is prime Kenny Lofton every time he faces the Jays.
  13. Tonight's lineup: Bo, Semien, Vlad, Teoscar, Kirk, Gurriel, Grichuk, Jansen, Smith. Thankfully, Grichuk isn't leading off.
  14. Lefty on the mound for the Yankees tonight, so curious to see if Charlie outdoes himself and puts Grichuk in the lead off spot.
  15. I wish Dyson could hit even a little bit. Defense and base running still elite.
  16. No question he was the right call tonight.
  17. I don't think Pearson was warming up to pitch the 9th. I think he was coming in if Cimber reached a certain pitch count and couldn't finish the 8th.
  18. Chapman getting booed off the field has happened a lot this season.
  19. I get that, but what's the cut off for using Romano? 4 runs? 5 runs? At some point they need to trust an arm to hold a 4+ run lead, especially against a struggling offense, rather than keep throwing Romano out there when the leverage isn't the highest.
  20. Chapman without sticky stuff looks like he's a fringe bullpen arm some nights.
